Trial Account

Okay...this is my first post, I just got VIP. I have an idea, and I doubt it will be used, but I'm putting it out there. Trial accounts can't save. It's hard to really try out the game like that...why don't you guys just make it so there is a 7 or 14, or however many day you decide period that you can keep your account and then it dies? That would work much better, and I think more people would subscribe. Also, there are problems such as people just making a new account, but you could have it set up like the current accounts, one per ISP e-mail, or you could even have it as one per IP address...or something I don't really know how that would work. It would work a lot better, I think o_O

Because it is a trial. With the trial memberships you only need the bare necessitys needed to play. To b able to mass message, send multiple messages anytime, save time or status is why you upgrade.

You have a way with words that makes me hate you. Oh well.

The flaw with this is people could just make trial accounts infinitely. I think that there should be an extremily limited play option for Kingdoms;after all, that server is the prize of Cyberjouers. Maybe only allow trial accounts access an once every month, so they can actually partake in some of the events and decide if it would be a fun thing to have? Other than that I believe the current system is fine.

Yes, but it was mostly for PWs and forums(and to support Graal too, I've done things I'm not overly proud of in the past and I am trying to negate some of those things). Kingdoms is neat though, I think more people would get gold instead of the normal classic account if they saw what kind of stuff gold had to offer.

Obviously. But playing it can make a big difference. Graal is an addictive game, and if you can get people addicted to it they will want more. So they'll upgrade, if all works well.

..I've been playing Graal for 3 years, it's a lot different lol... But the thing is, it's REALLY hard to get addicted to graal if your account is reset every time...

Plus, people could make unlimited accounts, but when they did, no one would know it would be them...which would be bad. But yes, there are ways around it. I like the idea of being able to play once a month...

I don't think you guys remember very well how much better it was before...it was a lot more fun. Because now, newbies are just the people you kill in newbie outfits w/ lvl 1 sword and 3 hearts...and they'll never progress from that. I don't really like the p2p at all...it was much better before, however, if making graal cost money is necessary, then fine, but there should be a GOOD trial system which will actually make people subscribe ...

Also, you can't say "oh well they dont look at the site its all there so it doesnt matter" because you can't expect people to, and even if they did...you can't really see what the game's like that way.

Also, many programs that have trial versions close themselves out to your computer when the trial runs out. Couldn't graal do that? just kill the program after the time is over? or not kill it, but make it so when you start "your time on trial is over click here to subscribe" or whatever...those things work pretty well. Make it like a 14-day trial. I THINK those things work lol...

But the fact is I could do this. Get an accnt called 'spark1' then one month later get 'spark2' and keep doing that so I don't have to pay.

People have no problems saving up for PS2's and over priced console games which they can complete in a matter of 3-4days. And they can't spend a little ONCE on graal? It's for LIFE!

Its not about MAKING money, it's about not LOOSING money.

You can see what graal is like from a trial account. There is enough there for you to see if you want it or not.

Also, you can't say "oh well they dont look at the site its all there so it doesnt matter" because you can't expect people to, and even if they did...you can't really see what the game's like that way.

See the thing about making lots of accounts. OR just realise cracks would be made.

Trials only give access to normal PWs. That can be a good thing for some (community) or a terrible thing (more corruption possible).

How? What if you go on only to help out a server or something? Some people are addicted to helping a server.

Well your right, but you cant blame everyone leaving on graal going p2p.Yes it was a big reason why so many people left, but also some people just got tired of playing. I bet that 40% more of the people who quit right after graal went p2p would have stayed and upgraded if Kingdoms was released before. And it is very ex*****ive to run on top computers. Where do you think Graal was getting it's money to pay for services and stuff? The sky?

I actually don’t see that people left really. I know SOME did. But about 2 months after the numbers levelled off, I can’t remember there being much more than there are now.

This is true. There was a huge drop the day the new locks were put in, then a rapid return to a stable level - roughly 25% of the Freeloader population, but as stated before, I don't miss freeloaders. There was talk (by the freeloaders) of organizing a massive boycot - to prove to Unixmad that we, the people of Graal, will not be taxed! Let his empire crumble so Billy can get out of paying $19! And yeah, that never happened. The people that had already decided not to upgrade refused to upgrade, and did so vocally, but nobody cared.

Yes, I can remember those days. But its thier problem, not ours. Unfortunately, it also fuelled the hatered for the anti-graal cult
