Trial Account
Okay...this is my first post, I just got VIP. I have an idea, and I doubt it will be used, but I'm putting it out there. Trial accounts can't save. It's hard to really try out the game like that...why don't you guys just make it so there is a 7 or 14, or however many day you decide period that you can keep your account and then it dies? That would work much better, and I think more people would subscribe. Also, there are problems such as people just making a new account, but you could have it set up like the current accounts, one per ISP e-mail, or you could even have it as one per IP address...or something I don't really know how that would work. It would work a lot better, I think o_O

I agree. You guys just want more than you deserve.

The flaw with this is people could just make trial accounts infinitely. I think that there should be an extremily limited play option for Kingdoms;after all, that server is the prize of Cyberjouers. Maybe only allow trial accounts access an once every month, so they can actually partake in some of the events and decide if it would be a fun thing to have? Other than that I believe the current system is fine. |
I would say the current system is fine, after all you upgraded didnt you? ;)

Yes, but it was mostly for PWs and forums(and to support Graal too, I've done things I'm not overly proud of in the past and I am trying to negate some of those things). Kingdoms is neat though, I think more people would get gold instead of the normal classic account if they saw what kind of stuff gold had to offer. |

Plus, people could make unlimited accounts, but when they did, no one would know it would be them...which would be bad. But yes, there are ways around it. I like the idea of being able to play once a month... I don't think you guys remember very well how much better it was before...it was a lot more fun. Because now, newbies are just the people you kill in newbie outfits w/ lvl 1 sword and 3 hearts...and they'll never progress from that. I don't really like the p2p at all...it was much better before, however, if making graal cost money is necessary, then fine, but there should be a GOOD trial system which will actually make people subscribe x_x... Also, you can't say "oh well they dont look at the site its all there so it doesnt matter" because you can't expect people to, and even if they did...you can't really see what the game's like that way. Also, many programs that have trial versions close themselves out to your computer when the trial runs out. Couldn't graal do that? just kill the program after the time is over? or not kill it, but make it so when you start "your time on trial is over click here to subscribe" or whatever...those things work pretty well. Make it like a 14-day trial. I THINK those things work lol... |

Trials only give access to normal PWs. That can be a good thing for some (community) or a terrible thing (more corruption possible).

x_x..I've been playing Graal for 3 years, it's a lot different lol... But the thing is, it's REALLY hard to get addicted to graal if your account is reset every time...[/QUOTE} How? What if you go on only to help out a server or something? Some people are addicted to helping a server. Quote:

This is true. There was a huge drop the day the new locks were put in, then a rapid return to a stable level - roughly 25% of the Freeloader population, but as stated before, I don't miss freeloaders. There was talk (by the freeloaders) of organizing a massive boycot - to prove to Unixmad that we, the people of Graal, will not be taxed! Let his empire crumble so Billy can get out of paying $19! And yeah, that never happened. The people that had already decided not to upgrade refused to upgrade, and did so vocally, but nobody cared.

Well i need to say if you would do this 7 to 14 day and than ur trail is gone
Would work simply for the fact that graal needs trail people. If you would check the servers you would see that most of the players are trail. And no one will buy a p2p within 14 days becuas well the first 2 days you may like a game and than it mostly stops. And than there the people who want to keep playing but have no credit card well what should they do make a new trail every 14 days. I wanted to buy a p2p when the pay by phone way whas still there but i whas just a lil to late And than i won my p2p with a level making contest. So i whas just lucky And now my p2p period is almost over and i realize how short 3 months are. The problem is that there need to be alot more ways to pay Than more people would buy a p2p acc. And also something like a special month or something if u buy a p2p on christmas day its 25% of or something X.x. And most of the trail people i talked 2 say well my problems is that i dont own a credit card or not one that is supported by pay pal. :( Well enough talk Bye Bye Angelus/Petro |

How many time are we going to go through this? Do you honestly think that Stefan and particulalry Unixmad are totally oblivious to your claims of there being more trial users than paying users? Please. They know more about this than anyone else in Graal. Servers cost money to run and to maintain. Yeah, the prices are a little on the high side, but if you actually break it down into how much the monthly payment is you'd realise its a heck of a lot cheaper than a lot of other MMOs. Now that you actually have a paid account, why not spend the $20 for VIP? If all you want is forum access and for the time being access to the Gold servers plus the bonus VIP only features then go for that. Otherwise, once your Gold is up you still have full unadulterated access to Classic and the myriad of Playerworlds. :) |
