Free program for saving tilesets?

I know saving a tileset in paint doesn't work and that's the only program I really know how to work. Does anyone know a free program that I can use to save a tileset that Graal can actually read?

GIMP, Paint.NET... Not really a fan of either, but hey they work and are free. Personally I would just get my hands on a cracked Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop.

i'd use Giffy, it's a program that you can just resave it from bmp to gif, so u can still use paint, however, i'm not a fan of the gif extension so i'd use Paint.net

True, but GIMP is nicer because it's faster, even though it lack a few features.

It's kinda like Firefox vs. Google Chrome, where Photoshop is Firefox and Gimp is Google Chrome.

Yeah and Firefox is vastly more popular than Google Chrome. I've used both for long periods, I went back to Firefox after a while for a reason.

Just use any of the above. If you're just looking to save a file then it doesn't matter what else the program does unless you're interested in actually using it for something else. I use photoshop to save my stuff, but only because I also use photoshop for its other uses. If I just needed it to save images I'd use something simpler.

I personally like Google Chrome a lot more, there are a myriad of choices when it comes to customizing your browser. I like to have my own touch on the browser I use, instead of the having a generic or bland browser. What was the reason you went back to firefox?

I went back to firefox because it had the better address bar autocompletion and more configurability.

Ya, I hate that with the Google Chrome browser, I am used to it autofilling so I press enter when I am half way through and its not a complete address x.x. I use both browsers though, depending on what Google Chrome can't do.

There are, but Google Chrome makes it a lot simpler. Also, its more advertised that you can personalize your browser on chrome more so than firefox. Both browsers have the same capabilities for the most part as I have found out, but I use Chrome just because I love Google. lol
