Scripted RC would open many possibilities including separate logs/tags for special npc data, direct access to other scripted tools, customizable RC news etc.

- Scripting sucks because of the non-native controls and lack of functionality (e.g. highlighting the start of a function if you cursor over the end brace like is done on RC)
- You have to be logged in to use client-RC
- If your client crashes, you lose internet, or you're disconnect, you lose all your work
- The client-RC doesn't support editing as text or editing files in the default program like RC does
- Reconnecting is a pain with client-RC
- Non-native controls are less responsive, destroying the user interface aspect of RC
No scripter is ever going to want to use client-RC unless it becomes equal to the current RC, which would require using native OS controls.
