Another new level.

Yes another new level. I've been bored out of my mind. In this level I made it a inside/outside level. I personaly think that the walls I did look very well done and fit the style of the level itself. Please give feedback and comments. :D

looks good, you should make the table a little more crazy and curvy, though. it looks a little plain, being huge and rectangle.

Rufus 05-21-2009 01:06 AM

If it were smaller then maybe it wouldn't look so empty.

Elizabeth 05-21-2009 01:08 AM

yeah i have to agree with rufus, it does look a little empty. you should add some water or something somewheres in it.

warriors94 05-21-2009 01:12 AM

Yeah. I guess I was hoping the table would just take up enough space but I guess not. xd

SymphoniaPrince 05-21-2009 01:18 AM

Yeah, make the table a little curvy. Also lol, the first thing I noticed was the uneven statues.... throw a x=+.5; on them, then they'll look nice!

SymphoniaPrince 05-21-2009 01:18 AM

Or maybe it's x+=.5;

New table added a sandpath and more detail.

I do not like your choice of walling, specifically the chimney tiles; I suggest redoing it.
I suggest creating branching-out threads from the main sand path.
I suggest redoing the table so that it is not layered; currently it looks confusing, unrealistic, and error-ridden. I suggest keeping the general shape but making the table one single level.
I suggest adding more seats for players to sit.

I particularly like the way you built the legs under the seat in the bottom left of your level.

I would like to note your thin grass "island" in the bottom middle of your dirt path. There is a tile that you can use in the middle to help corner both sides. See my attachment.

Just because you can detail grass with those tiles doesn't mean you should use them for filler, personally I'd rather look at open grass than the below unless they're arranged in some sort of appealing pattern or grouped with certain tiles where it makes sense to use them.

The sand path could look a bit better if it was evened out but they're weird but I have trouble myself trying to get them to look good as well.

The bricks should be used to outline a path or point a player in a direction, using them as random filler doesn't work well.

Other than that I like the Inside/Outside context.

Don't those small dirt patches block?

edit: ah, just the single dirt one does... which I always found very odd and annoying.

warriors94 05-21-2009 11:57 PM

The little pebble ones do yes, but the patches do not.
