Gang idea - feedback needed
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE JUDGING.
Most people see that gangs can go in two different directions...static (what we have now)...where we constantly change leaders just to keep the name of the gang the same. Or dynamic...survival of the fittest -- if your gang cant take the heat, it will get replaced by another gang. But why not have a little bit of both? One thing people want to see is themes. So we'll give them themes...but here's what I propose: The Layout:

PLEASE add any suggestions and/or comments. I'm not too sure how points should be earned, and I'm not really fond of the idea of being able to lose points when you die or your base is taken over...all that does is promote running and cowardly tactics. So, if you have any ideas on how the points should work, post them. |
Like I told you on player, I like the idea as long as the word "party" is taken out of partys. Basically in this system they'd just be small gangs trying to become a big gang, so theres no reason to have that word in there, expecially when you can visiablly see the difference between the two by all the extra stuff big gangs get such as WAY more membership, gang gun racks and possible gang vehicles or whatever else is planned.

Dont like the gang gun racks, and dont think we have a high enought player count to have 4 gangs controll areas

I'm kinda iffy about the gang gun racks as well, because like my gangs I make I want everyone having one because it fits my theme and since guns are going to be balanced anyway thanks to me and Meph, I don't really see too much of a need to limit them...
But I think the idea of them is kinda neat and it works for most gang ideas, mine are just "special" because I don't care if my guns good, I just want it to fit the theme perfectly unlike most players. |

but this is us only talking about it. If an Erian loses their gang, they will cry and complain. Gang Guns would need to be equal in strength, and perhaps using one costs Gang Points? Gang Helis/Cars would be interesting, but this was all ready discussed before. Overall: B, It's a great idea to talk about, but putting it on Era will be harder than fixing the mall. |

Guns will be balanced after the reset...
Gang guns after the reset won't even be close to the ridiculousness they are now so there is no need to really limit them like they should be now considering their godly stats at the moment. But yeah, the gang rack should cost points possibly to get and for each gun it has on it. |

Well i think my idea should be put into effect till the reset though since it'd be a lot easier scripted than this and since the reset isn't coming for a very long.
These gangs we have now are so dated and such **** that they add nothing to Era anymore. |

Sir, I like this idea very much. It could possibly bring new players to Era.
I love the whole idea, the leader could even give access to the rack to give the guns out if he/she isn't online. I think you should make it so the person upon joining also has to pay some type of fee, this will kind of make a joint force and everyone will be happy. I kinda to miss when gang guns were untaglocked and it was your responsibility to keep them rare and hand them to the right people, but I understand why they took them out because so many problems were happening. |

Since the creation of this thread, development has already started on this project. We will be trying to have it completed by the Thanksgiving break.

I think that a business should get involved at each Area. Lets say if you own the Military Gang, you will own a Military Shop at the same Area. Where you sell maybe, guns/ammo and such things. And all the money you gain, will not be able to hand out to you or any other players. It will arrive to the Gang's Bank. And with your Gang Money, you will be able to upgrade, unlock and purchase new things for the whole Gang. For e.g if you have a garage, you might be able to purchase gang Car's or maybe even Boats? Maybe you can upgrade the Gang Gun with things to attach on it. Or purchase new Hats for the Gang, we can say it should be 3 different hats. If you gain enough money, well then you can buy them all. But will take you time. About boats, I think you should create boats and have this idea on an island instead. With water around it, so you can drive the boat to another base or the main island. Shoot from boats should also be able to do, and around 3-5 people should be able to join one boat. The gang leader should decide who can drive the cars/boats and when the car/boat haven't been used for more than 15 minutes, it should be spawned back into the garage. This sounds little crazy when I read it XD.. But maybe some of this could be able to do? Also, you should be able to donate money ofcourse (to the Gang Bank) :D |
So does the gang gun change everytime a new gang takes over? And what happens when a family of elites ends up splitting so they control all the gangs on Era?

Thats probably my favorite part. This will make it to where you wont see people with ur gang gun, who has never even been in the gang. Also the reset i believe will bring more people back because if you think about it, people starting this game right now have to resort to digging shells or minning to make 1k a day. These same people see guys out there with the million+ guns and causes them to just quit. This will give everyone a chance to start fresh. Anyway I do love this new gang system, It will keep the leaders on their toes. They know that if they go inative or start d*ckin around they will lose their gang. Nice sales keep it up |
I like this idea.
Two problems tho: - People will farm points. - If your timezone sucks, you'll never get a gang. Also I don't like the gang guns idea, they'll be overpowered again, or somehow unfair, I bet. |
For gangs, points really don't measure anything other than activity...though, when you're trying to become a gang, it might be a problem, but it's unlikely. Points will be measured differently -- based on control of an area, not just kills.
The guns won't be overpowered, either...all guns are being rebalanced. |
Like I said, the new gang system i think will work great. itll keep everyone on their toes, not wantin to lose their gang
