Shout Box
 

Yes, a shout box. Instead of trying to start conversations in posts, which seems to happen a lot, you can just add a simple shout box to the main menu. It's freeware anyways.. So, yeah. Go ahead and post your ideas with this :o

i was thinking about this the other day. it would most likely cut down on the off topic posts, and it would be nice to have somewheres to just talk with other forum members. i support this idea.

Yeah, just browsing a few vB sites, even the ones that suck, they all have shout boxes. Also, it WILL cut down on off topic posts. But it also may cause severe laziness D:

By the way, instead of making another thread... I'm going to combine it with my next idea!

vB has a "vB plaza". It basically allows you to buy cool stuff, such as colored nicknames, custom display profiles, etc. It's also free. I mean, there are a lot of things that can improve graal's forums so they're not so... boring.

Cons: Of course, laziness with shoutbox, but that can't really be to much of a big deal because of the "prune" command. Spamming... The shout boxes can be spammed, but also pruned, time delayed between each entry, and just.. stuff :(
vB plaza uses points per post. That means each post you get a certain amount of points, so if someone were to say, troll, or just spam a certain thread then delete it so it's basically undetected, you could earn points unnoticed. Well, not completely, but you could sure gain some points :P

Pros: Prune, Delay
Making certain boards not count towards your post count / point count.

Again, just a few extra ideas to make the graal community not bored.

despite the moderators, the errors with percent signs, spam, and the flaming. yeah the forums are flawless!
