It looks fairly nice man, but it looks more like you cropped the head of a fancy spear and just wanted it to be a sword.

looks like the head of a javeline but its ok

Yeah, I wasnt really sure as to whether I should make it into a sword or a stave.. which is why I put a question mark after Sword on the topic name. But anyways, I extended the handle to make it look more like a spear/jave.. And it seems to look alot better now.

Nice :)

Nowadays, dithering is mainly only good for texture. Metal=do not dither. You're taking a reflective, smooth surface and turning it rough and rock-like.
You're also not defining the shape of a blade. The shading you have now looks kind of like a rough, roundish thing, rather than a thin, sharp blade.
While not being really being a critical comment, why the secondary lightsource?

Nice :)
For some reason it looks like it would go good with the Phoenix shield from GK.

That sounds professional so I agree.

On an unprofessional statement, I think it's cool ;o

i always said that =(!

it looks rusty, doesnt it, dusty?

sure you can use dither but you need to know how

it would look more metallic if you used more colors to give it shine effects etc...etcetcblah

I quite like it. Zulu-ish....

Nice work sage, really nice colours :D And a good light source colour, lurve it.

Dither can be used, but meh, no point really unless you want to be really awkward lol.
