GK Suggestion - More dungeon levels+easy to make monsters= quick fix.

There are plenty of ideas on how to make the game bigger, and include harder and more monsters.

I may have a solution which will not require massive reconstruction of the current land or anything of that sort. Using our current dungeons, we can expand and make them go deeper with monsters growing progressively stronger as you go down.

The dungeon can run as deep as you wish, and you can continue to update and make new levels when you have graphics and items for those levels. I recommend the levels stay as large as the current main dungeon, and keep making them go deeper underground. But to start with, we can use player bodies and add items to these monsters to create humanoid enemies.

While designing the dungeon to this new form, I would also recommend removing the links between the kingdom island dungeons, as this makes the world feel much smaller than it should be.

took me an hour to find my way from Nighthawks to Main Isle...lol

yea, too small

Edit: make the dungeons bigger so it doesn't feel so small....

kenyonandelliot 07-12-2007 09:28 AM

I like the idea, but not the unlinking of the kingdom dungeons because thats a better way to get to a kingdom instead of waiting for the ferry or to hop in a boat.. But yeah, it does feel a little smaller.

Every kingdom island has 2 dungoens (Well i know cp does) so if you were to walk it you will have to find your way to the dungoen and then try and find your way out of 2 other dungoens just to get to the island.

Filling the kingdom dungeons with monsters might not be within the limits of hardware if the hardware hasn't changed since a few years ago... seeing as how I can make the server lag quite easily.

I am currently working on a new type of dungeon. Once Stefan returns me and him will finish it up.

Yeah, but without new monsters to go in it. It's just a dungeon.

lordbosh 07-12-2007 08:26 PM

The point is, we can take what we have and expand it infinitely large and add as many monsters as we wish. This is a simple quick fix that will give players something to do and uses what we have available right now. It can be done in a few days, or less.

As for all the monsters, and your lag generation. v5 is supposed to significantly improve performance issues and such. With any luck that will resolve those issues.

Putting monsters in the dungeon wouldn't really cause lag issues. The reason you're able to cause so much lag is because you spawn these monsters in levels with a lot of people in them. With new monsters being added, more than half the time they wont have a player nearby so they'll be relatively inactive.

Cubical 07-13-2007 03:13 AM

I lag like hell in the dungeon on my windows computer.

AznLaoGuy 07-13-2007 03:32 AM

It would be nice if a ton of new items were added so people are more inclined to stay to collect them. Only good suggestion you get you freeloaders :P

lordbosh 07-13-2007 05:17 AM

With new monsters, you can add more of the items we have on debug that would otherwise have no use.

Give the monster that item to wield, and set it as a rare drop from them(very rare for some items)

Moonite 07-13-2007 06:10 AM

increasing gameplay with items and monsters just doenst work

Googi 07-13-2007 06:48 AM

People will get bored of new monsters fast, especially if they fight the same as the old monsters.

AznLaoGuy 07-13-2007 02:06 PM

Fixing skills that don't work or are disabled, and adding a special attack skill system would help too. (So I broke my promise, but this time I really won't add any free suggestions anymore.)

Ravenblade1979 07-13-2007 04:11 PM

And once the new items were collected they would be bored too. Haven't ppl been paying attention to the forums at all?

AznLaoGuy 07-13-2007 04:21 PM

It's a lot better than having nothing, it can actually be better than you think.

There have been many good times in Graal Kingdoms that had to do with items, take the giant alchemy boom for instance, if you didn't know what it was. An alchemy "bug" was discovered which created a completely random piece of equipment. It was so great because everybody started collecting more platinum, there were giant auctions selling gauntlets for 500 plat and mith chainsmails of berwean for 1000. People were lining up in tiny spots with Shrimp Okonoyami to safely trade platinum for a scale mail.

The fun never stopped until stefan fixed the "bug". The point is that you can produce something great from a very simple idea or suggestion. I have already thought of one by the time I finish this post but I doubt staff will consider it so what's the point,

Granted but within a month everyone would be whining again and we all know it. So in the long run its worth waiting for more then just one thing to be released.

AznLaoGuy 07-13-2007 04:32 PM

That's why staff should focus on the core gameplay... Which I doubt they even have a clue what it is since they copy and pasted it from another MMORPG. Oh well ranting done here.

lordbosh 08-02-2007 09:25 PM

i have changed my mind, we should not add anything new and instead DELETE MONSTERS AND MAKE ITEMS MORE EXCLUSIVE as this would make the game less fun for everyone

That sounds like the current plan, you thief quit stealing thier ideas.

Spukky12 08-09-2007 01:37 PM

The monster-filled dungeons sound like a good idea to me... theres a point when lords just dont cut it anymore and the only other thing to do is maps, which can be hard to come by (Especially if you dont have many dias)
Even if people got bored of the items, the dungeon would make leveling easier for sure...

Get a new computer, or upgrade it.

Now, thats out of the way, sure, we 'understand' that you all need your breaks now and again, but in the time that you been around, we have seen little to no fixes on things that are major, many of which has been listed. x_x Get the clue already -- Fix it.
