I'd like to give them a warm welcome ^^

With these people, and our old staff team (me, Konidias and Inferno) the development should go realy fast, and maybe 2k1 shall be back very soon!

Stefan originally made it. After the tossing-of-managers (currently happening on Era atm btw), it died or so.

Then there were few attempts to revive including Lances. After Lance quit, he gave it to CheeToS / Jordan.

I am pretty sure Lyndzey ended up going on 2k1 and giving Konidias access to it in which he shouldn't of had it..

I just think that konidias's project isnt what 2k1 was..

Though it's going to be a big change of what it used to be, it's still going to have the essence of 2k1.

I can honestly say that even where it stands now, it's the best server I've seen on Graal.

CheeToS didn't want to manage the server, the manager position was given to Lyndzey, who shorty after gave it to Konidias.

CheeToS tells me different.

If not, thats the only people it will get back.

It perfectly fits the feeling of the old G2k1, we've added a lot of cool new stuff, and have made a bit of changes, just wait untill you see it all, and you'll be surely amazed.

For now, that's all I have to say. It's very sad to see, that what has started as a thread to actually say; that we are working hard again, has changed into something dumb about namechanges and that stuff. Just be happy that we do our best for you players!

id also like to add that now ive seen the server and browsed around, well to keep it short and simple, Its bloody awesome and it still remains with the old feel.

I promise to EVERYONE that you will enjoy the new release when its out, i swear to that.

I got this account in 2004.

I didn't play in 2001 but I did play as a trial when it was still around.

All I know is that I am not going to let it be much different than it was. Yes its different in some respects, its been a long time and the scripts were outdated someone is going to clean out the fridge so to speak. But as far as I understand from everything the whole concept of G2K1 is going to be the same.

As long as we have survivor island we'll be ok ;)

Good luck to all the new staff... I trust Koni to steer everyone clear of totally changing the server. However I think after all the failures it goes without saying it needs a change. And since there is only 1 former staff member, I think this actually might be completed.

Sure it lived in 2003... under 0 players in classic tab.

Lance left and left it up to me to find a new manager, since he knew that I did not want to manage. We both agreed that Lyndzey would be a good choice and she seemed interested in it as well. Eventually, Lyndzey changed her mind and suggested konidias, which we were not keen on due to circumstances I will not discuss here. Lyndzey eventually came on and gave konidias rights without speaking to me about it; I don't know if she spoke to Stefan or what. I suppose someone is better than noone, though.

CheeToS should come back as police again :). So I can harass him on the streets again =p

You can't judge when someone joined by when the forum says they did. If we did that, that'd mean you joined in 2004, and I joined in 2006. :pluffy:

I've been away at school a long time for my Dr. in Computer Science... Its been a long time from being the person I was to the person I am now please don't judge me on past actions. I don't believe I've done anything to deserve that. Also I don't think they'd ask me to help if they believed that as well...

Sern and I has had our differences, but he is the best choice for the job.Sern can script just about anything and is was more creative then most script0rs now a days.
