Yeah, how long ago was it since you first told us guild wars will (Shortly *Cough*) be added to zone?
Somewhere along the lines of four months ago, but late last month we were given a glimmer of hope, Guild wars to come out in 2-3 weeks :eek: .
I, belonging to zone longer than most of the people who even come on these forums, am sick of the whole conversion based time.
I realize that one week in stefan's mind is one month, but can you try to get on the bat?
I also realize that zone doesnt have many staff members, but is this my fault?
God forbid stefan find normal players who are good at Level design from other servers and ask for help.
Complaining process is now complete, return to your lives or leave a post.

i think we need out own staff members...i mean look at gk, another gold server, they have actuall staff, and are able to get on rc to upload things, or to have events w/o permission...i think zone needs to be made like this...we already got a gat and a lat, so now we need a scripter and gani'r...there not that hard to find...and i'd like it alot more if i didn't have to post on the forums the gfx i do so that people can be surprised...instead of knowin ahead of time...but zone does need staff...stefan has shown that when it's just him runnin the server, not much gets done...yes it's because he's busy, but if he's gonna work on somethin else, i think he should hire someone else to complete it...just my opinion ;o

Im not immature I am just sick of all this waiting, stefan just needs to find staff and I am sure many people would take the job gladly.

I wasn't calling any individual people idiots.

Also, the more people know how to Script, the more people can apply to Graal, improving Graal itself so that Stefan is not as busy and also it would get him more money due to there being more servers, more uploads and probably higher quality and more ingenious things on Graal.

Also, opening up more staff positions encourages people to study scripting, which makes all the above happen and although the Graal scripting is at a pretty basic level, it could even fuel them form a career in scripting (Computer programing for those people who don't understand that scripting isin't just used in Graal, but in everything in the world and in Cyberspace).

So...basicaly, Stefan letting more staff on Graal actualy helps the human race! By a small bit, but something nontheless! And also it gets him more money, maybe one day he'll pay them.

Damn, I was hoping I'd get mentioned. In my opinion bl0nkt would be a great gani person. In my mind Vulcan is the owner of the server. He knows us, we know him. He has time on his hands to help zone grow. Stefan "owns" this server personally, yet he's not on it 1/50 the time he is on others. 2 People per staff position would suffice so that we would get updates regularly. The last update was spar planet and christmas cookies. Spar planet lags and and Christmas cookies are still availible, in MARCH! Stefan needs to gather people from other servers, or make zone a classic server seeing as trials can do about as much as I can along with the fact that few people play it.

Zone has the highest amount of idiots on Graal. I'm not going to start naming people but its a proven fact. Era used to be #2 with UN being #1 but that was before Zone was released.

Players on zone are generally young and have no development skills at all. Some may have good ideas but that is not a development position on Graal.

This could probably be counted as instagating a flame. Oh, and zone doesn't have the highest number of idiots, just the highest number that's known publicly.

It's not a flame, it's simply a fact. A mod want to challenge me? Go count the proportion of the population that fits your standard of stupidity and then check with other servers. Your results will not amaze me.

and show me the statistics that graal players from every server has to take an iq test and state their main server? show me that and if we got the lowest iq, thats 1 thing

Don't get me wrong, criticism is needed, but if you wish to point out the flaws you should also compliment zone and it's players.

I remember when everyone was angry because Sweep Fleet had an unfair "terrain advantage."
And Stefan and Gambet were the only 2 staff members, to my knowledge.

And since Christmas 2 years ago, what has been done? The addition of 1 so-so planet, 2 crappy ones, and the taking away of on eof the better ones. And events, which suck so horribly they made me want to go play Unholy Nation. Of course, I regained my sanity and didn't play Graal at all, but that's beside the point...

This needs to be changed. I'm at the point where I laugh at However made Zone a gold server, because it's updates are about as random as what comes out of my keyboard. The fact that it is supposed to make money, yet has Staff members (excluding Vulcan) that can't relate to the players makes me laugh. (Sayian doesn't count because he does GFX, but can't upload anything; same goes for Darky.)

Make Zone classic; but keeping it as a Gold server with this kind of negligence by most of it's 3 actual staff members just isn't smart.

And my opinion, of course, may be totally wrong, but the way Zone is run isn't right, either...

But they are still staff regardless of uploading rights. How do you think G2k2 works? Only a select few have uploading rights and people go to them if they have something ready for being uploaded. Zone levels aren't easy to make.

I dont think you realise how hard something with Zone's proportions is to code..

A rather crappy gun script of my own. Shoots one bullet with fairly bad recoil. Honestly, something like shotgun would be around 8 of those, each with it's own individual setting and etc, and then you need to code the damage part. When you have close to 50 weapons, that's 50 statements in serverside, each with it's own parameters and sorts. It's an incredible and admirable feat.

Simply put, Zone too slow for you? Screw you. I'd like to see you try and code it faster.

Excluding a few select people (Dark, Chrono, possibly anu or ixi), the rest are blabbing idiots who sit around and do nothing but scream at their monitor when they get "lamed" from "laming" someone. And besides, Stefan's one true flaw with Zone is completely relying on himself to code! It's not his fault that a complete lack of appreciation of his achievements is to tangible here, you can taste it! The fact that I'm bolding this means you should read it. As I have said before, Stefan isn't magic; he certainly as hell doesn't do this to bend to your every whim -- The sooner you realise his, the sooner you can enjoy life and not worry about, "Omg, Stefan is a lazy German piece of crap, I have no grasp of the work it takes to do anything more than fart, eat chips and type."

I'd like to see any of you code something up and say "Ha, owned Stefan."

Wow, sensible. People are complaining about everything but they can't even assist in something or anything in that matter. All they need to know is to suck it up and wait. Sure it's fine to ask every few days in a subtle question but making a thread about it to complain when you can't even do anything yourself.

And you are right, he isn't magic and he can't do everything. Thats why I think he should add more staff =[.

We all appreciate stefan but we dislike how he's so reluctant to hire coders, even from other servers.

None of you are programmers of anything, so it's reasonable to make these sort of decisions, however stupid they may be.

Each coder codes the way he wants to code. I may be hired into Zone as an NAT and be a complete waste of time because I code differently. Another thing is the ingeniuty involved in creating these weapons. Yeah, some of them suck, but many make up a huge part of Zone, such as appierces, or bluerifle, each of which, Stefan has created with his tender, loving touch.

Compare Era and Zone, similar servers in a sense, but look at the quality and style of each and you'll see what I mean.
