I suppose i feel neglective of the gfx forums as of late. School, girls, and other very important matters like that have occured lately. Oh well. Time i get posting again, yeah?
I suppose the point of this excersize was to see how well my pixel lineart/cell shading is like. Also need to keep practising as i have not done much in a while and may go rusty. This has been made purely in mspaint, using the pixels 96 x 96 for the sole purpose of being my display pic in msn. Feedback :-) thank you all

Ok here is an update. i tried to get as close to his face as i possibly could. Will add background and then some aura shining around him maybe

1. You should remove the black lines within the body outline. Use a darker overlay tone.
2. "This has been made purely in mspaint" Might want to edit that, because people may consider the finished product to have been made in just MSPaint.

Yes. i meant to say the lineart and pre shading was made in mspaint. i had to move on to psp 8 for the effects. Thanks for input, scott. have done as much as i could of your recommendations. i agree, it does looka lot better now. i thank you. Zen also gave suggestions on how to improve it, more or less the same as what you had said.

u know they came out with psp 9 recently.. ill have to check it out

the fight scene you did was alright, but that's just plain cool

The black lines almost look better. Gohan and those other.. guys, have always had very defined spikes.

Yeah needs darker or black outline on the hair.

Nice work, but instead of Gohan make Vegeta, characters with bad sense of humor are always fun. ^^

Crono was designed in anime. The creator of DBZ did all the char designing in Chrono Trigger.

Redwizard: The portraits are fine as basic outlines. It lacks contrast and smoothness. Remove the inside black lines, then AA the other stuff to smoothen out the edges.

Quick edit I did of the original one. Didn't bother finishing the arms or clothing, but you have a general idea.

could not find them all without effects, but i have some pre stages, some of them include simple smudges but the only one with full effects is one of gohans. Also majin buu was a recent addition and had only saved one version, and no lineart

red truthfully those gfx own and how you do them effects i dont know but the selections of charchetrs bleh use the bad guys they always are better then goke and gohan :p i say you should do Raditz or Brolli or Supre 17 anyhow ima try and draw one shade it maybe you can help me out with the ki waves around the guys
