Will there ever be a graal for the mac because i have a few friends with macs that really want to play graal, if you have it please let me know, and if you dont you should try to make a mac version.

CheeToS2 12-21-2002 09:45 PM

Its already been discussed, click the "search" button and type "linux"

they've planned to release it to make other OS/s

XxxxneosoftxxxX 12-21-2002 10:06 PM

Unless his dad is some kind of programming god and wrote an emulator that he could get paid a WHOLE lot of money for than this isn't possible.

Spark910 12-21-2002 10:55 PM

He doesnt need an emulator is possible to do from scratch! And he probably is a programmer in life.

AlexH 12-21-2002 10:56 PM

He didn't do it.
He admitted it himself he was lying in the thread he made about it. :\

draco5432 12-21-2002 11:53 PM

Well what do you recomend i can tell my friend to do to get graal for his mac?

tlf288 12-21-2002 11:57 PM

He can do one of two options
  • Wait for Linux Cyberjoueurs to port Graal to Macintosh
  • Get some kind of windows computer

Unless he does one of those things I can't think of any more options for your friend.

Admins 12-22-2002 12:15 AM

Yes Graal will work on Mac in a few weeks :)
There is already a version that works but it's not finished, just found a solution for some technical problems with OpenGL so it's not far.

tlf288 12-22-2002 12:20 AM

Kinda off topic but,

How far is the Linux and GBA versions?

I really want the Linux version. Is it using SDL or OpenGL?

Admins 12-22-2002 12:22 AM

It's using SDL and OpenGL (the plain SDL drawing functions are not so fast anyway on Linux, so OpenGL is the better choice and supports light effects and stuff).

SaitoHajime 12-22-2002 12:30 AM

I can't wait :)

tlf288 12-22-2002 12:35 AM

I really hope you at Linux Cyberjoueurs do a good job at making it linux compatible. I have seen some really really ugly ports in my time. The sound always seems to be one of the hardest things to port/implement into linux.

Good Luck!

Oh the sound was very simple, the library we are using works on windows, linux, mac, xbox etc. and is very fast, it worked on my old Linux installation without any problems or tricks.

tlf288 12-22-2002 02:06 AM

Wow. Most of the time sound is very tricky (gaming wise) in linux. It must have gotten easier or I am getting forgetful.

draco5432 12-22-2002 02:14 AM

LOL my friend read the posts you made Stefan he was jumping up and down repeating "Finally i get graal i love Stefan WOO HOO!"

tlf288 12-22-2002 02:18 AM

If your talking about me I don't really know what your talking about.

If you have something to say to me then please PM me as it doesn't need to be a public disscusion.

draco5432 12-22-2002 03:53 AM

Dude i dont even know you why would I post that bout you?!?!

tlf288 12-22-2002 04:05 AM

Oh, I must be misreading your post. It would be nice if you would atleast take the time to use proper punctuation(sp?). I am reading it like you are mkaing fun of me but that may not be what you meant.

Sorry :( .

Commas and periods are our friends.

draco5432 12-22-2002 04:20 AM

I dont beleive in commas, and periods!

ok you don't have to respond like that. Typically if someone goes out of their way to post an accomplishment (that seems reasonable) i'll believe it. You didn't have to try and make me look like an idiot by saying "you actually believed him?"....

tlf288 12-22-2002 04:24 AM

That does seem kind of rude Kaimetsu. I know you'll come back saying something really smart that XxxxneosoftxxxX, or I won't be able to respond to so I wanted to say this before you responded. :p

Colons and semicolons then?

tlf288 12-22-2002 04:32 AM

Atleast the all powerful parenthesis(sp?)!

And if you dont like prenthesises(sp?) then use those square and curly brackets. Those things are so cool and stylish :D.

draco5432 12-22-2002 05:05 AM

LOL, this is the second year I have had people complain that i dont use periods, or commas.

BTW you happy with my little sentence?

tlf288 12-22-2002 05:07 AM

Even though the commas and periods aren't used properly, atleast your sentence is legible.

draco5432 12-22-2002 05:08 AM

OK i accept the fact i don't have proper grammer!:grrr:

Zickle 01-12-2003 01:40 AM

he is writing it in C++.. there will only be one distribution I think.. that will work with mac/linux/windows

Admins 01-12-2003 03:45 AM

Yes and you can cross-compile for all platforms, so we can develope on one platform (linux) and compile for Linux/Windows/Mac/BeOS/FreeBSD. XBox needs a special compiler.
