I don't understand why you had to fill out an application for the LAT contest. It could have been fun for some people to log in and make a level to impress everybody, but they have to fill an out? Turn off.

Fill one out, yes. This is so we get to know the people a little more, and I can ask a few questions durring the contest.

This is a recruiting process for Shaded Legends since we do not have any LATs.
(If they win, they will have the chance to accept becoming LAT and learn further.)

They are also beta testing my type1 tileset, as well as giving ideas for using this as an event in the future. :]

I'd like to switch all new upcoming levels to type1.. shhh. ;D

Sadly Loakey has decided to no longer work on Shaded Legends unofficially.
Where as that is sad, I will be revamping a lot more and ditching the old quests.

Emera has left us as well due to being busy on other servers.
He did semi make us a staff tool so that was good.
I will no longer be hiring players of other servers.
(Don't get me wrong, they can still help.)

Shaded Legends will work in seasons... 5 main quests for season 1, other short subquests between seasons. Semi like Mabinogi.

There will be more changes too but the content will stay the same.

What some of us have been working on.

Piggy - Created 2 heads, 2 bodies for our new system upcoming.
She also created a cow, throwing-stars, a bird, and possibly some baddies.

Bayne - He isn't a LAT but he has been helping create levels, also listed all the levels that have npcs (showcharacters) for a future organizing scheme I have.

Shurikan hasn't been on lately, he has created a log for us to use in the intro.

Askew - Our new LAT has been doing quest levels with Bayne. Recruited via the contest before it ends.

M!ke - Our new Gani artist and possible Gani Admin created four ganis for the cow. Ride, on, off, idle2 (while riden)

Thyme - Creating layers in OLE, new MUD system, Staff Assignments with SQL and GUI I believe.

David K? </3 (Management) - Staff system to delete the other 33?
I also use many of these commands in developing and I'm sure some may also in the future... as a Mac user I edit scripts and ganis via RC. Levels online too..

It saves the levels now.
The boots didn't work I believe because of the other staff system.
So far I think the only things that do not work are the LAY npcs, Assignments, and X, Y, W, H for level linking of in || boxes.

.... An undo feature to the OLE would have been nice. Have to wait for someone to reupload the levels. I left a level not knowing it was somehow dragging or selecting? and selected / clicked over quite a few levels.

"That isn't even the worst problem" The layers section is currently corrupted, so I can't remake the levels or even place anything on them.

So if you get on, expect a mess until Loakey or Cujo shows up.

As Asst Manager, I feel it is my duty to keep backups as well.

I also will not be online as often for these two weeks.
Still have a 12 page essay, two presentations, as well as a few other things I need finished. :/

funny as cujo assured me they were staying . on that note if you get a message from stefan saying " great i loved shaded legend" . then go removing everything, your not bringing the server back . you just rummaging through it for anything that fits your need and tossing everybody else's hard work in the garbage like its nothing but scrap heap . that's real assuring :\ .

I'd just remake the whole thing; completely trash everything and just start over. But I guess you guys don't have the common sense.

and on that note neither does stefan cause that's the stuff he liked about the server along with many other people ...... but then again no one asked your opinion and you view's on anything not classic related are well known by everyone in the community . so maybe it's time to give it a rest .

This isn't specifically a dig at Shaded Legend, but I decided it was best to start over with Classic, Npulse's staff decided it was best to start over with Npulse, Atlantis's staff decided it was best to start over with Atlantis, Delteria's staff decided it was best to start over with Delteria. The previous versions of these servers remained on the list for quite a few years after Shaded Legend dropped off it.

the only problem i see with that "just start all over" approach is classic is the last one still standing . I'm still puzzled by your decision to leave classic in dev stage but that's your decision . many great things were built up on shaded tho and removing the whole arka story line, removing all the cutscenes and making whole new ones, making whole new quest's just seem's like one big step back to me . its even more complicated by the staff not being concerned what so ever at repairing the server but piddling with stupid new stuff that only gets halfway done before the staff disappear never to be seen again . I'm just saying they should TRY to keep what remains of the server before they just go gutting it . cujo seem's to be under this idea as well .
