My ideas..

I say that we should have a little kind of outfit saver, except maybe a bag where you can keep your clothes.. I kinda hate going back and forth and changing outfits..

My second idea is Treasure Map Insane. You swim through water, and get attacked by one of the monsters that I will put in an attachment. When it grabs you you have to swim out of the water really fast and have one attached to you, it lays on the ground swatting its little claw arm things at you and it can latch on to you again and pull you back to the water.. There should be two sides of land, and a little area that you walk in from. There should also be a couple of other type of monsters in there.. Maybe ice bats or something.

Anyway, C&C.. If the idea were to get on kingdoms, I can make the graphics..

I don't think there should be any more treasure maps, at least none that can be done with physique - maybe some that are designed specially for spellcasters.
As for the outfit changer, it sounds like a good and reasonable idea, in my opinion.

Well.. It's just that people are getting higher leveled and need higher maps to get EXP.. Plus I think it would be cool to get taken down my a squid type thing swimming around, I was thinking 15 per pool... Maybe 2 pools in the maps..

Got it in one. Maps suck -the fat one-. A new dungeon, yes, perhaps. When i was still in zormite i remember a discussion about making the dungeons under zormite partly flooded and having water-based creatures in them. As for them giving insane (ahaha, see what i did there? ahaha) amounts of exp, that's a definite no, or at least a partial one. Powergamers seem to be able to chug through around 10-20 brutal maps a day (it's quite beyond me where they get them from, or where they keep getting the money to buy them from) and some players have reached crazy levels, in quite a short period of time it seems. However, all this is physical.
We priests, and the mages, need some way of getting up there in levels, like the melee people do. They have endless supplies of brutal maps, we have lords every 15 minutes (if we can find a spot to ourselves, which is rare). Also, our best spell is Avatar and animate weapon which are way too slow and unreliable to be able to kill brutal worms with (not to mention the fact that worms are impossible to locate, and very hard to hit with these spells). How about some decent monster-killing spells/prayers, eh? (Also, monsters like demons and such would be good, so that for example Diancecht's "Slay Demon" attack would be useful for something =/).

There should be a dungeon with monsters that are completely immune to weapons, and only spells and prayers can hurt them?

Sounds good to me, I know prayers and spells too..

Yes, the outfit saver is a good idea. I didn't read the other stuff, the whole treasure map/kingdoms thing is too boring for me.

Meh.. Yea, I hate having to walk back and forth forever to change my outfits. :P

MasterNuke 05-02-2004 04:18 AM

The clothes saver is a good idea...

As for maps... either make different ones like 5 different maps that go to different kingdom islands... and make a new permanent dungeon... Maps are just to kill monsters... but dungeons are something fun to explore... but there is a serious lack of dungeons... so a serious lack of adventuring... serious lack of fun.

How about we forget maps and dungeons? And go with islands?? I thought something cool would be on that little island east of hotaru would have something rare.. But I just found it useless.. and adding small islands that have special monsters, what about haunted mines, underground lakes, volcanoes, waterfalls! ect! You get my point!

Yea, they should release that Spider quest they had when GK first came out. I was really looking forward to that and then all the sudden BAM! We get the new server, I was very disappointed x_x

ZER0_H0UR 05-02-2004 05:34 AM

Aha! I was reflecting on the outfit saver the other day, from Classic, and how handy it would be in GK...

It's a little tent, you crawl in and change your clothes, then crawl out.. Don't ask me how you would carry a tent around and manage to achieve 3.0+ speed... *shrug* I didn't think too much about it as you can see.

Also - Another map especially for mages (or perhaps a dungeon...) would be -very- handy ^^

I like the map idea: D

The point is that the server isn't about leveling and powergaming, but roleplaying - hence, I believe there are enough maps there already. As for dungeons, I say the kingdom dungeons should be used, filled with unique, themed monsters, which in turn might drop items for alchemy recipes or local meals to be created in the local pubs.

GoZelda 05-02-2004 11:42 AM

The maps should stay, but there also should be dungeons/areas where the map monsters are (Desert for worms, some freakish mountain or castle for demons/cyclops, rainforest for panthers/tigers). So, you have places with a few map monsters which respawn, where you can be bothered by others, and where you have to wait, and a 'private XP place' where there won't be annoying to bother you and where you don't have to wait for respawn.

Yeah, i remember seeing on a few occasions groups of lower level people partying up, setting their nicknames from characters out of LoTR and venturing down into the dungeons (probably Moria ;) ) on a quest. I remember thinking "lol, how cool, if only there'd been one of them when i was starting out, it would have been awesome" and i've thought about leading my own little quests down there, but never bothered planning it XD

Hmmm. Perhaps there could be separate locations, affilated with the different gods! For example, there could be a hell-ish place for balor, a desert for bile (where all those who don't worship bile have their food rate depleted at an amazing pace, regardless of their sus ammies and such - this'd mean you have to go trekking in there with lots of food and water, or you can be real lame and just use restore x_X), a place up in the sky for DianCecht, a forest for Aengus, a mine for govannon, a swamp for ogma, a uhhh...like a ruined temple with vines and wild plants and stuff for brigid?
In these places, you'd find the monsters that go with that god. So, for Balor's hell-ish place, you'd find demon monsters - this means that DianCecht followers would spend their time here, with their slay demon weapons.

Satrek2000 05-02-2004 12:26 PM

Hm... I have a nice system in mind involving divine favors, and possibilities based on how well someone serves their diety - but it's too huge to implement, so I'll stick with preferring the extended kingdom dungeons idea ;)

Wow, this is offtopic, but your signature is cute.

Anyway, i would love to have clothes be an NPC item, with cute mud graphics. We could mix and match.. and we could finally use the female clotheless arms!

Limelight Panda 05-02-2004 07:15 PM

Instead of adding to the island, how about like a warp? Maybe when your on the mountain where Dian is, you see a... Aurora style light, and when you walk in, you get warped to where dian lives? LIke a whole new land, with different types of monsters, and if your a worshiper of dian, or brigid, you get a green/white glow and get power ups, but if your bile, or balor, when you walk in, your power goes down, making it easier to be killed by a divine creature

Thats would rule!

I reakon the kingdoms should contain dungeons like Haunted House, have quests and have an extended underground for red t-rexes and such, however that would mean that the map monsters would not be rare and it would be pretty pointless to do the low-level maps.

There should also be extra quests on the Kingdom islands, such as finding the tomb of the Zormite Prince and recovering a rare artifact, much like an RP event but more of a high level quest (stronger than brutals)
