To the people against the Classic P2P plan and/or anti-P2P "rebels".
This is mostly for those people who didn't like the P2P plan for Classic and PWs, people who dislike P2P altogether, or those idiots at SG111.
This whole anti-P2P thing is IDIOTIC AND POINTLESS. Even if you did have some vaild points, which you don't, you are going about this in a stupid and hypocritical way. You guys are forming anti-Graal groups, using trainers more frequently, making petetions, making hate sites and distributing illegal information, all for what, $15? So you don't want to spend $15, that isn't the point. You don't want to spend $15 dollars, so you take up hours and hours of time to support your cause to not spend $15 while you could be spending your time making MONEY or doing something with yourself. You waste time worth way more than $15 so you can try to not spend $15? Sounds pretty dumb. Anyway these are your arguements I hear often against this, I'll now be shooting them down one by one. Arguement: Graal isn't worth paying $15 for. Counter: It's what it is worth to each player, not just to you, if it isn't worth $15 to you, then leave, don't waste time *****ing about it if it isn't worth it, it's futile. Arguement: We shouldn't pay for something the players helped create. Counter: You act like everyone put their part into Graal, that is far from the truth, I doubt every single player has contributed to Graal, not even close. For the people who have though: 1.They did it on their own free will, no one forced them to contribute, Unixmad didn't hold a gun to their head to make them work on Graal, they did it because they wanted to. 2.They didn't do for the reason of not paying for Graal, they did it because they wanted to see their work go up, most online games won't even think of putting player's work up on the playable world. You guys are lucky to have that. Arguement: I don't want to put it on my credit card. Counter: That's what the phone system is going to be for.*sigh* Arguement:I've played this game for free for a long time, why the hell should I pay? Counter: You mean you've been FREELOADING for a long time?...I don't give a damn how long you've played, that doesn't give you any leway off the price, so you've played a long time, whatis that worth to Unix and Stefan. Not a damn thing. That's about all I hear, so to sum it up. Unixmad and Stefan have been giving you this game and contributing into this game for a LONG time, and it is costing them both time and money. I think they deserve a LITTLE something after they've been giving you Graal for the past 5 years for nil. They are trying to make money on this to make a living, not provide you with infinite fun. You have no right to be demanding that this be free, it isn't even yours. The only thing you should do is ask, which isn't even logical. You'd basically be asking Unixmad to flush a very promising money making opportunity down the toilet. So I leave with you anti-P2Ps: GET A CLUE. ~Dark Cloud |
Umm...non-p2p people don't generally read the forums.
|
Some free people do to see what is going on, SG111 pays visits often, they just can't post. So basically you don't know they are there.
They are those people listed as "Guest" |
You just about summed it all up, DC. :)
|
The only thing you need to say to the people who are against it is....................tuff!
Its gonna happen, if you dont pay bye bye. Plain and simple. |

Police and FAQ should reply as soon as possible. They do now, if you have any problems with them talk to Alkaren and he will take care of it. I never have any problems when I PM someone. About 6-7 months ago I did. Things have changed, many people are still looking at how things were in the past. |

I tried to have a conversation with 'fukie about this - however, he was adamant to the point that he shot down all of my comparisons as being "different". Like comparing Graal's business practices to a club. "But clubs aren't video games! They're different!". It was one of those conversations.
Closest I can gather, his friend and he are of the opinion Classic stole levels from the oldbies. Saying "No, they gave them to us" doesn't do any good, so I'm saying Maybe - but SG111 has no more claim to representing them than I do, so it's moot. If the real Zol comes back and demands I take down his pub, and he can somehow prove it's really him, then maybe - barring that, no, shut up. It'd be like me saying that the framers of the constitution never intended free speech to cover pornography and internet piracy. Though Mafukie would argue that it's different - there is no constitution in Graal. =_= |

You forgot something:
Argument: P2P will kill Graal. Counter: No, it's needed to pay for the servers, so it's instead helping Graal to stay alive. |

Perfect DC.
One thing I don't understand is why they are yelling at Classic staff. They do not realize we have no connection with Unixmad and that we have nothing to do with Graal going P2P. |
I do think there a lot of lazy or uncaring admins and such. However I'm all for Graal going p2p.
One reason why I think the admins aren't very good: Everyone knows I have not played in a long time. The other day I logged on Classic to see what all was new, only to find myself in jail. I talked to Tyhm and he said I needed to file an appeal, but most likely have to request a reset of my account. Why a reset? Because the people I file appeal to are never around. Poizon |
Dark Cloud--
1) Unixmad did have a gun pointed to my head, and he was playing Mario Kart Advance at the same time. 2) I laugh at your poor spelling. |
