For playerworlds it will also be possible to use md3 models, they are not as high quality though.

You wont have to make a new one. You can just simply edit some of the ones you already made. Maybe you can have a reference model?

I'm pretty familier with Lightwave but the rest I suck with. XD

Myomoto 05-21-2004 02:14 PM

I still vote for making a new mouth on the male models :O

zokemon 05-21-2004 09:49 PM

It is like anime so it is teh sekc

Far from it.

CasanovaCanavi 05-24-2004 12:58 PM

Looks alright.. All I wanna know is when will we be able to play it?

Spark910 05-24-2004 04:26 PM

Stefan/Unixmad may reply with a date, but here is what I know:
2-3 weeks it should be ready for some testers (Probably global staff, those can then help develop the server so progress is faster, as currently it is only developed on at the offices on their network)
And then I have no idea what they want to open up with, or how long it would take so don't know. I'd imagine summer would be a target of some sort though.

WanDaMan 05-24-2004 04:29 PM

I'll pop on during summer and check it all out - or when it's fully completed :)

well, i'd hate to butt in, but reading from this thread, I noticed how VIPs have in a way, a disadvantage. When the VIP accounts were made, the Graal3D version was said to supposedly been released to them not so far afterwards (not a year or so). thus, due to big issues I am having (almost about to complain to stefan), I shall wait to hear of the release to VIPs before I upgrade for it

Just had to say that ;)

Ok, I bet it will be much more difficult to make things for Graal3D. I would hope it will come with a nice library of predone models and stuff for official release.

and has any thought to subscription fee been brought up yet? I mean, for when it is fully released.

1) Do you (or did you) have GOLD and VIP?
2) Increase subscription fee? I doubt it :)

Nidonemo 05-30-2004 01:39 PM

Well whatever happens, just take your time and put all effort into it. Don't rush things, if every time we pleaded and begged for it to be released NOW NOW NOW then we'd end up with a very crappy game. I can be patient, so take your time. ^^

Nid is right. Take your time and do it right over rush and make it crap. :D

I wish I came to this thread earlier, a few things to say.
One: The new zelda game was awesome, storyline wise, the only graphics problem was that link was a child, which they are fixing in the next game anyway.
Two: I remember the original graal 3d a long time ago... like 2 or 3 years.... it was a demo that you could download I think it was up before 2k1? not sure... anyway Stefans sig looks like what the old models looked like, so yeah, They have improved. ;)
And I wasn't sure if this was true or not but a while back I also heard graal 3d was using the Tribes 2 engine.... which to my knowledge is a first person shooter... either way you look at it, an engine was purchased and then edited.
Third: This looks really cool, and if I saw Graal on a shelf in an Game Store or anywhere I would buy it right then and there.
Four: I'm not complaining about my VIP account, because I subscribe to Graal by the year anyway, with that package adding a VIP is only $5 US currency anyway, it's not going to put me in the red.

1. That wasn't link x.x
2. I believe that was only a test. The tribes 2 engine was the torque engine which is being used in graal 3d with modifications.
3. Anyone would.

<< still waiting for private 4um access >_> >>

NovaNET 06-15-2004 10:35 PM

what engine did they use to build it off? I remember it being discussed but forgot

Crono 06-15-2004 10:37 PM

That Torque thingy..I think.

Galdor 06-15-2004 10:40 PM

yea. torque

protagonist 06-15-2004 11:18 PM

Jedi Knight 1 had a nice 3d modelling system, pity we can't use those :(.

greeno 06-19-2004 04:46 AM

You know... I think the animal crossing engine might work with graal... I mean... of course add in all the weapons and stuff, but the way animal crossing scrolls from level to level seems kind of graalish to me... of course, like nintendo would let you buy that... Maybe create a similar one? Hehe, nah I went against my saying of if I can't do it, don't suggest it.... oh well...

Just give me a jingle when you need Level Designers... It can get boring here during the summer. :(

Starting to sound like Blizzard.

Spark910 06-19-2004 06:55 PM

Well they have (last week) added quite a few things such as a weather system and created some new skins, thats the main problem the graphics as they take the longest.

Crono 06-19-2004 08:21 PM

Spark tell Stefan that the male models need work. The heads look way too womenish.

Kappa00p2p 06-23-2004 07:21 AM

This one is too bad though, hell I liked the old graal 3d models ;)

Projectshifter 07-02-2004 07:44 AM

Bleh, need updated client... I can finally see it and such but yet Stefan didn't seem to update the client on SDev for me to be able to play it =/ And now I have to leave tomorrow for a week, which means it'll be YET another week before I get to see it. Oh well, that's life. Got a few things need to discuss with Stefan anyways about v31, which is deffinately the coolest thing you guys will ever see, bwhaha. Or perhaps the new engine is, but I've seen that for ages so it's lost it's "magic" ;)

The old Graal 3D was awesome. I wish they would finish it, it's very Graal-ish.

It could be a graal 3D server along with kingdoms ;-;
