stefan that is a sweet idea

I think i can say to kjs.. that it is npc controlled you let it go and it does what was programmed.. into it based on results..

and different train fights would be nice .. stones, water, deep water,bushes.. and obsticals.. would be able to throw the objects like stones and bushes.. to hurt other baddy and even a fight wher the baddies get bombs and arrows.. cool.

YEZ!!

Not.

1) Anyone can do that easily by combining the Baddy Skin on the New Races page with the old Mirror script...
2) I'm abstaining, of course, because anything I make that's worth keeping goes on Graal, and I can't release Graal scripts. Even if the judges wanna count scripts they can only see the effects of, ie the stuff already on classic, it's not really fair to those people who DON'T have a massive server as their sandbox. Most of scripting is trial and error...

Tyhm 09-14-2001 02:04 AM

...how else would you test controllable baddies against each other if not online?

I make lots of stuff for fun. Then I either abandon it or adapt it to Graal. =_=

Make each baddy have different attacks. Two or three different one long range one/two short range. That'd be the simplest way and best for a baddy battle I suppose.

JeffTL 09-14-2001 03:51 AM

I think it'd be easier to do non-battlebot scripts...battle bots would be hard for anyone BUT big cheeses on servers, viz. Stefan, Tyhm and the playerworld owners. So I move that this be restricted to stationaries and weapons, not requiring NPC server.

No offense, but most playerworld owners I know can only script extremely basic things.

IceHawk 09-14-2001 10:07 PM

It would be futile to enter a scripting contest with stefan

Merlin 09-14-2001 10:15 PM

I don't think Stefan is entering, and even if he was then it wouldn't make it impossible for everyone else. Stefan's good but he's not a god, and there are scripters who would stand a chance against him. I'm not saying they'd be likely to beat him, but they'd have a chance.

i agree completly but stefan would always have the edge for 3 reasons
1) he made the commands so hes gonna know their full capability
2) he will always have that lil list of secret commands
3) if he cant do something with the commands he has he can create a new command and add it to his secret commands list :)

Stefan cán put "HAHAHAHAH I WON, SORRY I OWNED" in the events announcement on the graal2001 page if his bots wins because he knows how. :)

I LIKE EGGS!!! :D

~AlphaFlame~

Screw battle bots, make a correct pathfinding script that works even if walls are in the way, and NOT going over any walls. Mwaha.

BocoC 09-15-2001 06:29 AM

I had an idea on how to do that. Involved walking toward the player, finding a wall, then doing ::special stuff:: to get around it. :D
