I would hope at 41 years old she could make good, intelligent decisions.

Wow quote of the year.

Just because someone is 41, that doesn't make them wise.

Never said I thought she could, just said I would hope she could. Her age is actually a disadvantage, because this isn't her generation. She's a bit clueless at times.

Meh. The way I look at it, this forum's a little podunk town off the interstate. The mayor's also the sheriff, deputy, and undertaker. If you get caught littering in her county, it's the lockup for you - and don't bother appealing to the mayor, the mayor agrees with the sheriff. If you got a problem with it, well, the mayor's just doing her duty as handed down by the president of the yew-nited states of God Bless America, and until he changes his mind she's gonna lock you up.

For such people as get locked up, a travesty has taken place - this mayor needs to excercise some authority and let them loose: littering's too small an offence, and besides [extenuating circumstances here] - but she won't, she's not about to go against the President. Then the Governor, or the Senator, or even the State Representative should excercise some authority - but amazingly, the mayor doesn't report to anyone like that. Heck, maybe the Mayor's the Governor too.

I don't care who makes the decisions, I really don't. Moonie, Sam, Ibonic, Lyndzey, Galen, heck even Olorin, but Somebody needs to be available to sit in adjudication of rule conflicts instead of our trusty admin-bot enforcing them all because "These are Unixmad's rules."

This would not extend very far at all beyond the forums.

One idea to promote change and development in this forum.

Umm, she should have the rights already. I think she just refers to unixmad because it's his business and it should be ran how he wants it, thus I see perfectly why Darlene refers to unixmad for approval for certain actions and so forth.

I mean really, what more "power" does Darlene need on the forums? She should already have the rights to do just about everything anyways, I think it's just a matter of making sure things are fine with unixmad first, which again, is highly understandable as long as unixmad keeps in touch with her often (or vice versa).

And this is his business.

You guys can complain and threaten to form a rebellion/quit as much as you want, but how many times have a lot of you tried to quit Graal in the past and have failed?

Twinny 01-25-2007 01:51 PM

I think I'll believe what Moonie says about her current position over what you say her current position is.

-_-
That's like believing the criminal, even though there's a lot of evidence against him.

Gambet is exactly right. I think he is one of the only very few that has actually read my posts and understood them.

Looks like you're the one that's having trouble with reading, pal.

RTDM (Read the damn thread!) do you think anyone here takes you seriously? just leave and don't come back...Again.

I love how Gambets completely off topic yet his post are not deleted :D

Your saying that because hes taking heat off you, delete his post now do your job since he is off topic. Or does it not apply when they are sucking up to you?

Can you explain how he is offtopic?
The original post was about using the support center with complaints about the mods. The whole thread has been discussing the mods, the support center, and so on. So how is he offtopic?
Gambets first reply in this thread was in reply to someone saying that the community wants me removed, so who actually went offtopic? There seems to be more than one topic in this thread, but is all tied in together.

Twinny 01-25-2007 06:25 PM

I was hoping my intepretation was right but sadly no. Change is actively discouraged here by all members of upper administration. would seem.

Infernix 01-25-2007 10:02 PM

Oddly enough the forum community hates Gambet as well for being a stuck up prick who tries to suck up. And why dont you be a good Mod then and go hit him up with about 3 infractions for the insults he was spitting out. Or wait are you not going to ban him like you did me in the Mac thread because he is more or less "on your side."

Yes, I'm a suck up because I don't have the same mindset as you?

I don't need people to like me to make sense. My points have been backed up (from Darlene herself), I don't see any of your points holding any validity.

Consider me what you want, but I speak what I feel. If you knew anything about me, which you don't, you'd know that I too have spoken up against the administration, countless of times, but Darlene knows that I'm reasonable and I try to see things from both sides, thus why I believe she has some form of respect for me, as I do to her, since she does nothing wrong except for enforcing the rules.

Malinko was a suck up, not me.

If I have to risk my own pride to fit in with you guys, then I'd rather not. In fact, I don't want to associate with people as yourself that just bad mouth everyone who doesn't have your same views.

Then again, I don't even know you, and for good reason too, since from the little that I do know of you, I wouldn't want to associate myself with you anyways. It's a shame that the general Graal population is seen in a negative perspective from the administration because of people like you that just ramble on about what you feel should be done and you continue until what you want is done, else, you'll cry about it and insult the administration for doing a bad job.

You sicken me.

Stephen 01-25-2007 11:01 PM

Eh, I wouldn't call Gambet a suck up. A prick, perhaps - but he's got his own opinions, even if they're not always right... but he always thinks about it. So he's definately not a big trouble maker.
