Warning on the computer ID lock (protect) on accounts.

There obviously needs to be a warning on the PC ID protection. As far as I've heard, there is none.

Too many accounts are being held hostage by computers breaking down, emails getting canceled, hacked, etc, all kinds of things. A lot of people are apparently too quick to think about the consquences of the PC ID lock, and that's their fault entirely, but honestly losts accounts are beginning to get too common an issue.

Something like

WARNING: If your computer breaks or email is comprimised you will not be able to release the lock

or however the system works, I'm not quite sure of it myself other then what people have told me- just something that warns the player and possibly explains what they can do to unlock their account so they know what they're getting into.

I disagree, I like this system. I have a solid email that I know will not be cancelled, and I doubt my computer will be breaking down anytime soon. Even if it does, I can add the new computer's PCID.

Why do you disagree with letting players know what they're getting into? The good and the bad..

I'm not saying to take down the system, as it has it's benefits, but players need to be aware of what can happen if they aren't prepaed when they protect their account.

Perhaps you misunderstood what Sam said? He was saying if you don't have access to your computer and you don't have your email anymore either then you need your transaction ID to prove that you're you and get the lock removed/changed.

First of all, you need a save e-mail. Preferable with a web based entry, so you can check it without using your own PC.
Whenever someone try to lock on your game accout, you'll get an e-mail and you have to confirm that this PC is permitted to log on your game account.
In case of an e-mail hack you need to do a support-ticket and prove that it is your account by sending the Transaction ID.

Yea, but does that say that before you agree to protect your account?

Tell us another save alternative for the company to check you are the owner?
You need to prove things like this your whole life, not only on graal.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that your request is not needed. I don't remember what or if anything is shown.

People like myself and Inverness do not have our trans ID, so if we happened to be like (prepare for a completely hypothetical situation) "Cool! I can protect my account to my computer!", and some freak accident happens, we'll end up "WTF WE CANT USE OUR ACCOUNTS ANYMORE", only to get a response "Trans ID?". If we knew what we'd have to go through to get our accounts back in case of epic tradgedy, then it's purely our faults because the information was right in front of us.

Basically, if someone sees they'd need their trans ID as result as twisted event, and they do not have it, they hopefully are smart enough not to protect their account to their computer if they do not wish to risk losing their account for good.

Usually you just show up, and bring a passport in extreme cases.

I'm sure I could easily prove who I am to those who know me on Valikorlia and elsewhere, and they could vouch for me.

I am afraid a warning will help much. There is also a warning when you get your trans ID that you need to keep it save in case of any thing like this we just talking about.
