The errors want to live!

Looks like they didn't get rid of the bugs for Linux's installer:
"Verifying archive integrity... All good.

./setup.sh: line 258: 12449 Segmentation fault "$setup" "$@" 2>>$NULL

"
Ok, and to let you know, I don't use glibc-2.1 NOR libgtk-1.2 I use the latest versions. It's trying to get older versions for some reason.

That's what I'm thinking, but James said that Stefan doesn't make the installers.

Most linux distributions provide compatibility libraries so that programs compiled one year ago still run ...
Please install those first if you get that error. The Graal setup is not using the latest glibc, so it should run on most linux distrubitions.

It's not the Graal client that has the problem, it's the installer.

The Windows installer is Cygwin's setup.

yeah, although cygwin's setup is pretty powerful, name another free windows installation package that does what cygiwin's setup does.

I belive it's not the fault of the compiled libraries that I have installed but instead the faultyness and poor integrity of the installation shiled. I'm not quite sure about the compatibility stuff, but I'm sure the developers of the libraries had that issue in mind long ago. Otherwise, half of the stuff on my Linux would not be working right now. It's just plainly the installer's mishaps that cause whatever to stop working.

Which? I don't know how to find these libraries. Maybe I have them, maybe I don't. I still don't know how to find them to make sure, though.

What's wrong with the latest glibc?

Nothing is wrong with the latest glibc...it's just using an old version because most linux distros will have the old one included.

I'd like to see an ebuild for gentoo personally because that's would help people with up to date gentoo systems who have the latest everything.

You mean an ebuild for Graal? I couldn't find anything about the rules for ebuilds or anything, so I'm not very precise on that.
