As the contest states, no experience required, and it was in the testing phase.
You all shouldn't expect much from people first starting and testing a levels editor...
Here are the results of Assignment 1.
Sadly I'm not very organized so I don't have names :/.. Late newcomers, old people kicked... some switched around... Sorry.
Room - 02 : Askew was hired as a LAT. : Well done.
Could Fix: Redundancy in tables, one rock if picked up would show a tile error, fence pieces could be layered in the future.
Room - 04 : Not bad.
Could Fix: Missing corner pieces, chairs look odd around the table but uses nice perspective which is a plus. Once again could use layers for the top part of the pole fence thing, and I need to redo the corner house piece.
Could use more details to the ground.
Room - 05 : Good job.
Could Fix: I forgot to clear my block. D: The level looks alright, however the bushes through the grass ridges don't look that great. Almost as if saying the ridges aren't making the ground go up or down.. Can't really fix it but to redo the bushes not over many ridges. The house is kind of funky too... Other than that the level looks decent. I've used transitions like this in the past, however sometimes it doesn't look great, layers should fix it. (The road and grass) Also, some bushes can be hit and show errors.
Room - 06 : Not too bad.
Could Fix: A 2x2 dirt hole type tiles are creating a tile error in a grass corner, and the roof looks slightly plain... Also, some rock shadow looks kind of odd and would be weird if picked up. I've helped tell you about one bush line, but the other two were left with black edges. Could do a little better for the ground details but you did alright. Also, the roads are too small on the bottom, and look too natural.. but the place looks like a mansion so could possibly be as such.
Room - 07 : Alright
Could Fix: The house looks semi alright, the top is slightly too far up front, and some of the walls are using wall ends which I've mentioned in the past.
This level looks too symmetrical and has tile errors / missing grass corner pieces. More details and ridging could be added. The entrance is just weird though...
Room - 10 : Alright
This level is definitely unique... However, it is also full of tile errors, and some not even because I believe you have the wrong tileset. Need to work on the ground details like ridging and details in general, but overall the creativity is good.
Room - 15 : ._o
Could Fix: Well.. It did look like someone did actually try and start something... Yeah...
Room - 20 : Good start.
Could Fix: Well.. can't say too much.. there really are no details but the bushes are missing the correct corner tiles. I also like that you are using a small tilesheet in the top left. I think the roads are too ... perfect? and not that natural in a rural area. Not sure why there are chests on the roof.
Some of these houses were way too big.
Should there be a final assignment or should this be it? I feel like for this being the first assignment some of you have learned a lot so far.
The next assignment will be quest like.
