Era Taxi and ferry?

That would be cool to see on era.

Instead of you being the taxi you can pay maybe 30-40$ to get a ride anywhere you want (In the drop down menu) farther location bigger the price

Ferry could do main to SR (Cost less money then if you take the taxi to SR)

The ferry is slower

This reminds me AGAIN of how Era should get boats, but, we have cars and a bridge already. Boats still can be fun.

Isn't SR a relatively short distance away? I think people would find it worth more to walk.

Nah but the map isn't big enough to really justify a taxi/ferry service, would be neat and all but not worth it imo.

back when I was making plans for new content, I was going to have 3 separate gmaps.

1 for the main island.
1 for a big ocean.
and another for south ridge.

the ocean was going to be pretty big this way you had room to use boats. I also wanted to add a town that was built on top of a series of small islands (sort of like hawaii but we're talking the size of a little town, not a huge state) and it's main purpose was going to bring fishing as a new job.

as far as getting to south ridge, I wanted to remove the bridge and instead have an underground tunnel in which you could travel by car, walk, or take a train.

would be pretty neat.

just because it's underground doesn't label it as sewers, lol. it would actually be underwater, not underground. it's something different than the typical bridge like pretty much EVERY modern server has these days (a main island connected to a smaller island to the south with a bridge)

besides, it would of been better that way considering there were going to be boats all over the ocean. it just makes it easier.

Era should stay as two big Islands, but it should be a lot bigger with a lot more room for expansion. I think with Sales as leader, and with his skills in appointing dev teams, Era could get a lot of awesome stuff going. And if we make it more noob friendly, maybe advertise it a bit, we could do something awesome, get playercounts back into the 150s like they once were. My idea is to have one giant landmass that wraps around the top left corner of the map, taking up almost half of the gmap to itself. Then there will be a large portion of water, leading up to a much smaller island in the bottom right, with a diagonal bridge crossing it. The main land could be broken up into cool things like a ghetto, a barrio, a chinatown, and a forest. Unstick me would be neutral territory in the middle. All the jobs and gangs in each area could be themed.

Then the whole boating thing could happen, and the bottom right island could be primarily devoted to fishing equipment, boats, boathouses, docks, etc.

That would make both a taxi and a fairy extremely useful. The bridge would be very long, so the ferry would be good to travel down to your boathouse where you go out fishing from. Or a taxi could get you around on the mainland if need be. It could even be a new player business, where a person can say ":Taxi" and then something shows up on everyone with a taxi-car's map that shows where you are. Then they come to you and say ":takefare" and you get in and it automatically pays the driver when they deliver you to the destination. Could be cool.

My other idea is like how PKing is now, where you can stop people from picking flowers and stuff by PKing them, you should be able to be like a pirate and attack other people's boats, maybe somehow board them and fight with melee weapons.

I attached my "vision" of era, but I think they're making something else on Era Dev, and I'm sure it'll be friggin sweet, because Sales is an awesome dev. (I'm not sucking up)

with graal's perspective I think it would be dumb to have a bridge going in the direction. it would look really weird.
