Give some credit to Sulukra for this, he came up with it before I did. But my version is better, of course.

RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade)

What it is:

(Russian RPG-7)

Chinese mounted version of the RPG-7 (RPG Type 69)

What it does:
Blows stuff up, can be used as an anti-tank or anti-vehicle weapon.



The weapon would be buyable for between 10k and 20k, ammunition should be its own and limited to 100.
Damage I have not yet determined, explosive range for the RPG-7 is about 10 meters, somebody fix a good tile range to that.
RPGs are not homeing, nor are they accurate past 300 meters. Affixing this to be fair on Zone, I would say the maximum range (which should be able to be set by the player) should be about 90 tiles. The round would travel about 30 tiles a second, and if the player launching it would be caught in the explosion, he/she would die.

It would be used as a firesupport weapon; obviously if it hits you directly, you would die, but the damage would lessen considerably if you were only caught in the outer explosion.
I'm trying to find the reload times right now, it obviously wouldn't be extremely fast.

Oh, it would be aimed via the mouse.

1.price ok 2.ammo ok 3.tile ok 4.but it should be homing or its gonna be like ice cannon and be worthless unless its a lucky hit unless u dont u make it go boom by urself

Which is why you would be able to set the tile range. Say I set it to 32 tiles (half of a level), I would be out of the effective range and the rocket would reach its destination in just over a second.

thats fine as long theres a limit becuase i dont wanna see 20 noobs with them to be all the way on the otehr side of the map shooting them

No, Draenin's idea is pretty good. I had thought of it but never said anything, because I don't really use rockets, so it really didn't bother me. But I would like to see that idea put in, it would be neat. Also it wouldn't home, so itd be fair.

But back to the threads topic. Ive already said I'd work on the Graphics. I never got out to put in applications for a job, I just filled them out. Then I had to re-errange my room, and such. So I haven't started the Graphics because of those reasons, and because Mech likes to stay on the comp, doing things for the server were soon to -hopefully- get.

Anyway, tomarrow when I get home, I plan on atleast starting the GFX, if not finishing them.

My only question, is should I make new Rockets?

Since the RPG ammo would look different from the regular rockets (the shape), yeah, probably.

The rockets wouldn't be homing, and would require just as much time to charge or reload.

Probably right, but the rocket in the grenade doesn't fire as soon as it is shot... a gunpowder charge fires the grenade and then about a second later the rocket kicks in. So I'd lessen it to 20 t/s.
