Great FAIR Starting Class Suggestion - Page 2

Right now, classes don't do more than give you certain start conditions (cauldron, spells, prayers, skills...). They don't have a permanent effect... but without classes, you'd have to learn literacy/praying/magic/alchemy, get yourself a staff/cauldron etc... doesn't sound that good to me...

I belive you'd choose starting skills/scroll/other items, like Excal said.

or you could give everyone wizardry, praying, stealing, concealment, woodlore, literacy, 3 spells, 2 prayers, a random amulet, a talisman, a cauldron, a pen, a wand, a sack, a wizard hat, and another random skill scroll

Hm.. so someone could select a cauldron and praying? That is, any combination which isn't quite as functional as others?

You can already select it like that (alchemist with scroll of piety)

This is kinda new to me... if so, I'd have chosen warrior with piety and saved me quite a bit of trouble...

Yes it is, you're "selecting" which scroll you want to play with.
