I don't like the idea of mandatory PIN numbers. However, optional ones would be okay.

Definitely account lock though, so you can't just guess someone's PIN number.

People would do dumb things like 1337, 2008, 6666, birthdays, etc.

I imagine some people's PINs would be very easy to guess.

As in real life, all new bank accounts should get a 10-12 digits account number (and not restricted to one bank account per player), as well as a RANDOM PIN (you are not allowed to chose your PIN code irl, at least not in banks around here) assigned to it.

So when you open the ATM, you'll get to click on one of your saved bank accounts, then type in the PIN code, and finally after that get to withdraw/deposit etc. money.

I chose my PIN number.
It may just be something with your bank...

You're not allowed to chose PIN code in any of the 4+ banks here in Sweden, and I'm pretty sure it's European standard.

I was thinking the pin number would be more of a novelty, just to add in some realism.
The accounts should be account locked.

No one's going to remember a 10-12 digit random number. This is Era we're talking about.

It'd be cool if someone made an ATM GUI that actually looked like an ATM. I did something like that for Atrius a long time ago.. the PIN number is just not practical.

I hope there isn't an ATM in every building on the new gmap. I don't know about any of you guys but I'd like to see PKing more as a job profession.

this would be more realistic, mabye set it up so each card can store an account number, and then the pin is set for it
