I don't know personally, but if that's true than perhaps long-term editing should be allowed in the scripting section. However, for the rest of the forum or any other forum, long-term editing should definitely be disabled, with a limit of ~12 hours.

Yea, but because it helps communicate clearly it becomes an important part of the archival process (which occurs naturally on these and most other forums).

This isn't built-in, and we've searched for mods to do it and found none that work with the current version of vBulletin here.

Then you should be well aware that this is purely conversational?

My presumption, ignoring that such modifications may not only be simple but also built into the system, has been that - regardless of what great features we would love to see added.
