I can't seem to be able to log on Era....
Is it just me?

I hope it wasn't the P4s again.

If the P4s are really causing that much trouble, they need to be rescripted. There is no way an explosive should ever be able to crash the server, unless there are thousands.

I disabled the script because I was in the middle of doing something else and I was going to take a look at it but it was too late ;o

I have done much worse though x.x which is why I'm confused the server actually crashed.

I had a .05 timeout in a weapon triggering to the server to lay a p4.
It's bad enough that I have a .05 timeout triggering to the server :P but having a p4 laid at my mouse position every .05 seconds in a huge LMS event hardly caused server lag, just client lag.

I don't understand how 3 people with p4s just lay them out in the street, explode them and crash the server like this.

owell. I'm sure when Stefan comes to fix it he'll tell us.

P4s have a huge lag multiplier effect on the GMAP.
In event levels they're not so bad and you can explode hundreds of them without causing serious lag.
So it's definitely a GMAP issue and something Stefan should look into :[

P4s were fixed so they don't cause so much lag now, hopefully it'll be optimized more in the future. Right now it's just a temporary fix.
