Happy New Year, I hope everyone had a safe one. I wanted to just give a general outline of the development plans for the first couple months of 2010.

Achievements System
The achievement system is a new concept that I had been meaning to get started on for quite some time. Last month, I got
Gamerkid7 who is the Developer that generally handles events and the like, to get started on this awesome project. We put our heads together, and really started to think. With a dynamic GUI that displays all the achievements available, and all the ones you've already achieved, it'll be a lot of fun. Some features that will be contained in the system:
• Events/PK/Exploration/Miscellaneous achievments
(IE: Killing the same person 3x in an event, Finding a
historic location on UN, etc)
• Prizes for achievements
(Contains, but is not limited to: EP, Gralat, hats)
• Ability to view yours, and other player's achievements in
a dynamic GUI.
(Can be stretched out to fit your likings, without losing
the full quality of the window)
This system has already been started on, and a number of achievements are done. We're just working on finishing more before releasing.

Pet System
This system has been a long anticipated addition (for better or worse) to the server. After some complications with scripters quitting halfway through the project, one of which making sure they left it in shambles, it was decided to put this project on hold.
Now we've got a more stable team of scripters, and I plan on taking full advantage of that.
Lloyd (thatdwarf) and
Alex (born2kill) are going to be working on re-scripting this project together. They will start within the first week or so of January; I don't foresee it taking very long. All levels and graphics are already done for this, it's just a matter of tying them all together with the scripts.

RPG system
In their free times, the NATs started working on recreating UN's old RPG system. My hopes are that we can tie this in with the pet system, and create two halves of one big project. People solely interested in the pet system wouldn't have to play the RPG system, nor vice versa. However, I was thinking it might be a nice touch to be able to use the pet you've worked hard on, in the RPG system.
There aren't many details on this yet, but I will be sure to fill you guys in when we establish them.

I have high hopes for this year, and so does the rest of the staff team. We'll be trying to organize the teams a little more as well, since we have a hard time keeping them stable (generally FAQ, GP and Events Team).
