Why not hardcode in some sort of protection that disables playerworlds, except for a specified list, from overwriting default graphics?

The specified list would possibly include the login servers.

They could just add a download package to the Login server that uses checksums on the obvious default files so at least they get fixed automatically.

Why a download package? Change one small file and suddenly you have to redownload the whole package again? That seems silly.
