Lagging while making videos

I'm lagging really bad while making videos, I have it set on the smallest resolution and with 10 frames per second. I have 2 gb of ram also with 2.4ghz. So I know it's not my computer. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Graphics card?

I have lag when I have it set to 20 FPS and full res, but other than that it doesn't lag my client too much.

I can run wow, warrock,silkroad and any other game without lag but this is my video card --> NVIDIA GEForce FX 5700 Ultra 128mb

It lags when I open up pms and stuff too it doesn't lag at all when Im not recording though. It lags with 1 fps a little but sparring is impossible with 2 fps. also when graal cant be on top I get an error.
