You want to attract players or not? Two man bikes or being able to shoot while crawling wont get you a player count; learn with the past - the roll skill failed to raise the
playercount. Ya sure they are good ideas, but they wont revive Zone, trust me.

Try comming up with something new and attractive to players, give them a goal, a reason to play Zone. That's why my idea would be a bigger but better project in the end result.

But ya sure, I'll encourage Zone to get even worse with fail updates. Ya, for sure my idea would need revision to prevent abuse and all but it is a project that may be good in the end unlike all the other ideas I saw in this thread.

Seems the best.

The first 4 ideas would only be like releasing a new planet, a sudden small burst in players. Once the problems in the thread I linked come into play, and the concept gets old, Zone just drops dead once again.

Zone used to have a happy trial community. Then their HP got lowered to 80 and they were no longer able to take part in guilds. Once this happened the guild community on Zone died. Trials were then having their stats and everything saved but still crippled, further chasing away Zone's trial community. It's no surprise that no one plays the server anymore.
This might be the only "okay" idea.

Although trials aren't really limited much anymore besides classes (Ohwhoo).

Can't figure out what you're trying to change with the system here.

To wrap it all up, there's no minor change that I can see being made to bring back the full potential of Zone. The game play is too repetitive and dull, not to mention not very newb friendly; Meaning you kill off any new players that thought about playing.

Sean, in case you're just tuning in - I don't have enough developers and no administrative support. I'm not looking for the "The Update", I just need to start steering Zone in the right direction and building the base player count with the few resources I have.

Base playercount?

A playercount that will last a week and then once again leave?

Limited resources doesn't mean the project can't be done. It just takes time.

Observer Mode is long gone from zone. Its been gone for quite some time now
