Items should heal you over time not right away. If they're attacked while healing it stops working. That way people can't be pussies and heal during fights. Bandages would be the only healing item not affected by this. They would heal your wounds right away.

As an Era (non-dev) staff member, who regularly deals with mad Erians, I can assure you they do not use G-rated, or even PG-13-rated language. UN can't be much better.
