I think they mean servers using the built in bombs/health and stuff?

Graal3D is really laggy for me in Graal 3.13, but Graal 3.12 is fine. I can't work out why. There should possibly be a way to disable the outline, too.
Good job with Graal 2.3, though.

I don't know why the outlines are enabled for you, but you can turn them off by editing scripts/clientprefs.cs, the value for $Pref::renderOutline must be 0. The outlines are beta and make the game slower

Thanks Stefan.

$pref::renderOutline = "0";
Eliminated all the lag, and the client is actually alot faster.

I downloaded it this morning, when you said it was fixed. I had to generate a gmap to see the map, but it didn't work it said an error. I will download it again tomorrow.

Yay! Does this mean you saw the thread I made about transparency problems in 32bit? Thank you very much!! I like high quality icons and stuff, and always being in 16bit made the icons look bad. Hopefully with the 32bit update, Graal won't be as laggy when many lights are on the level also!

It was enabled for me also... maybe you left it set when you packaged it all up?

Also, i don't seem to have a clientprefs.cs, i have a clientprefs3D.cs

The line you said to change isn;t in that. The closest i could find was $pref::Player::renderMyPlayer = "1"; but changing that to 0 didn't help.

The new Graal version is giving me problems also. It recently got VERY laggy and my character constantly disappears. Loading a npc in a level is taking minutes, and I already have the image. I'm not having this problem in v3.

Well, I'm suffering from the behavior I described. I touch the bombs/arrows that appear when someone dies, I hear the sound of touching them and they disappear, but my bombs/arrows do not increase. If I manually drop bombs/arrows then people including me can pick them up. The problem is when they are dropped from me dying or someone else dying.

Edit: I just tested this again on 2 servers with another player, both of us using 2.3. It did not add the ones dropped in death for either of us.

You have tested that it works with v2.22 ?

Edit:
Ok it IS a serverside problem. Because the player sends the position more precise, the items are dropped on uneven positions and don't match the pick-up position anymore (which are non-precise), will fix it

Fix your computer then, you have some speed hack program running. That problem only happens when the clocks on your computer are running at weird speed. v2.22 doesn't give that error ?

Well in two years of having that check in graal only one player was complaining, and he had a speed-hack-thing running on his computer, although he was not aware that it is a tool for speed hacking.
You can send me the lists of tasks, and possibly also try v2.22 (with the setup click on the graal version until it shows 2.22)

Quite often, the best way to find bugs is to let people find them. Since systems vary, Stefan probably won't be able to find every problem that people are having, or are likely to have.

Yes and until right now no one has found a bug in the new online client yet, so I don't think that it was too early

One thing I would like to see in Graal 3.1 is the ability to arrange nicknames in the playerlist into alphabetical order. I always liked that.

Soo, when is the updated Linux client going to be available?

Edit..
It's too bad Stefan doesn't have time to actually play the game much, as I assume he'd have more incentive to update the Linux version for himself too. But of course there's still the hype of Windows to lower the priority

There is a level editing bug. When you are editing levels that are in a gmap, the editor only saves the level you are working on and disregards the rest after you click "exit". Meaning it asks if you want to save the one you're editing but it doesn't ask for the rest.

On the old version it didnt do this.
