Oh, according to my Design teacher it's 30... Maybe he's wrong... And the name for the 45degree drawing is Obtuse or something I think...

30 degree angles give an abnormal line... about a 1:1:2 ratio I believe.
Isometric is not 27 degrees exact, but it is ~27.
And yes it is at a 1:2 ratio.

As for obtuse, well, that would be correct in geometric angles I think... can't remember, but there is another term in pixel art for the use.

I remember seeing a really good tutorial on this stuff before... I'll have to find it.
