You need some new roofs man. XD. Nice path and water. The swamp tiles should be retiled though, they look off. Also the grass tiles kind of..not that good :O

Ok so we'll start from top to bottom.

The building is very ugly at best. I recommend completely rethinking the design of it. If you want more details I'm referring to the roof, the walls, and the floor. (yes I'm aware thats the same thing as everything but some people prefer specifics)

The grass, It's not bad I would say about average and will be acceptable if you remove the half grass tiles as with the new tileset it looks incomplete with out both sides of it.

The Path, I really like this design I've seen it in a few other levels yours would be very nice except where you just dragged it through the dirt. I recomend deleting all of the 4 path tiles then selecting all 4 and right clicking on the spots where the path was before removing the path tiles. It makes it look more presentable and thought out.

The Beach, The grass to sand is all zig zag VVVV I recommend trying to give it some curves. The way you have the transition between the two grass to sand tiles looks very poor and unnatural how you currently have it. I recommend putting more thought into it if you insist on switching between the two. Tile errors on the water to sand to grass on the left side where you transition between the two it just ends.. You currently have an over abundance of rocks most notibaly the large ones. This is a matter of preference but maybe if you removed a few (just a few not alot) I feel it might make the beach look nicer.

The water, looks good.


I think that about sums it up. Not bad if you consider your self one of average skill and with some changes it could definatly be a great level.

Don't take my post as an insult. The level wasn't terrible just needed some work. You clearly have some talent and most of what I said was really minor nit picking. Such as to many rocks and the road needing to be right clicked etc.. The only really major comments where the buildings. All in all I would give the level a 5/10 I suppose maybe a 6/10 its really border line in there.

3/10, at most.
The tiles used to make the crass look unplain are pretty much random and do not fit together very well. It does not have bigger objects or an ongoing "theme" thingie, but are just all kinds of outside tiles thrown together.

The path is quite nice, but I still deem the more flat path tiles superior as there are more of them. The stone tiles inside the path look pretty nice, though.

The bottom building looks as if it had been built directly on the path, I do not think that's good. I do not think the roof tiling makes much sense either. The wall is quite creative but I do not think the chosen tiles fit together well... some of them do have grassy corners, while not used on grass. I do not like either how the stick-like parts merge into the normal house tile when they touch the ground. The border of the stairs looks strange too, I think.

I think the coast has too many rocks in the water, it seems strange. Also there is some tiling error with the tree that is the most left one in the most bottom row, just left to the other building.

I think the building is supposed to be built on top of the trees. But I do not think that the tree's perspective allows this to be done with the tiles that were used on them. Not only do the house tiles not tile very well like that, but they look more flat and perspectively wrong compared to the trees. The yellow/red tiles on the "path" on the building aren't used very well either, I think. Why is it random like that? You'd think someone building a house would spend some time making his paths straight. The house's wall looks too random, I think. The left and right borders of the platform give me perspektive headaches, too.

While your levels are decent I certainly wouldnt catagorize them as owning anything unless perhaps you use the term very loosly because your levels are no more than average and in regards to SingleChance from what I've seen his skills are far superior to yours.

ok, i went a little nutz on the pic..

where i said mix = bad looking i mean how you connected with the near invisable corner.. looks bad.

the area on the path circled with red looks like a tile error but is technicaly not... the other gras tile looks better, as it joins better.(those tiles were badly made i think..)

try to make the sand look like waves would come in, and not just get the edges of it wet.. sorta hard to explain..

path looks good, cept one tile error...

the swamp looks releative, and theres some un-detailed areas, and low detailed by those.

i dont like using the 1 or 4 tile dirt areas, thier ugly looking..

not that im better =/
