Maybe on the right side path that people are having problems with, maybe you could add a small stream running from a waterfall coming down the mountain. Of course to this this a few trees must die in the process.

I like to think that every small town needs a house or yard that appears as if it hasn't been taken care of in years. pics1 has some rarely used tiles that seem to exist for that effect. Earthbound has similar tall grass tiles as does Graal, but they also have another one for "taller" grass, and maybe you'll just have to check that game out to see what I'm talking about.

But realistically, the level you're working with looks good, and the kind of detail I am talking about adding would serve well in an adjacent level to the east or south.
