Graal lags on my Mac.

Graal is really laggy on my mac.
I've got a mac mini, not the best computer... but if it handles watching movies in HD, Playing Counter-Strike; Graal shouldn't be any problem.
I've tried to play Graal on Windows XP "Parallels" & just on the "mac".
Doesn't matter, both lags.

When I play Graal it feels like my character is 0.5-1sec "behind" so it's impossible to spar and takes ages to walk.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or is it just me?
Is it fixable with possibly some changes on my graal client?

It's a known issue, it's fixed in the new version for mac. You could ask Stefan if he'd be willing to give you a test copy of the mac version, but I'm not sure what the rules are on that.

It's because you're running on an Intel Mac, and Stefan has waited years to release the new Intel-compatible version; he might give you a copy if you ask nicely, he gave me one a while back.

Forum PMing him requesting the client would probably be your best bet.

Seeing how Stefan developed a Mac version so it would not lag, what about Windows Vista? It lags uber crazy unless I am in full screen mode and my laptop that I am playing on is extremely capable of handling Graal. and when in full screen mode I have to be 800x800 or else I lag.

From what I understand, the Mac client basically just needed to be compiled on a different computer architecture, plus some minor changes. Vista would be a lot harder, I think, since the problem lies in different graphic cards/setups.

Yup, it has to be something with different graphics cards/setups. On my computer, I've tried Graal on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, and have had no 'lag' problems at all.

Graal will be using Direct3D for rendering in the new version, which is more up-to-date, so I'm assuming it will be fixed with the new Windows version.

When will this so called "new version" be released to the general public?

We are still working on it, it got delayed because we focused on some other things (iPhone etc.) The new version is still using the same Graal engine, but everything else changed a lot. The new Mac version supports separate windows for player list and PMs, and even supports Flash.

Will the Remote Control, Graal Editor etc be released for mac aswell?

Scripted versions yes.
Mac version now also supports 64 bit.
