Sounds only work half (Vista)

On Bomy Island (not sure if it happens on other servers), I only hear several sounds, while they are all on my PC.. example; I hear pickaxe sounds from a gani, but I do not hear the walk sound from a gani.. which is very weird.

Anyone knows what could cause this? It works fine for other staff..

Some wav files don't play on all sound cards if they use special encoding. In that case it might help to convert it with some tool.
