The outside screen shot was taken when it was becoming night in Rebirth so that is why the level looks a bit darker. Also, the added border line around the screen shot may make it look a bit darker than usual. The inside level is supposed to be dark but as Flamerus stated, not all of the levels will be dark so no worries
