If you wanted truly unique names, you'd have to come up with some wierd variations. Chain Lightning could become 'Rifariath's (W)Rath'. Rifariath is now the god of lightning on Zodiac. Perhaps it could be called 'Jumping Lightning' or 'Lightning which passes on within proximity'.
Most things in games are called what they are called due to the fact it's the most appropriate name. Should fireballs be called, "Flaming Projectiles" or "Flying Ball of Incredibly Hot Materials"? Dispell does exactly what it says. What other decent words are there? Purge is a common english word. What could we call it? 'Soul Vacuum'? |
