Fear News Thread

[TB3]

Here is a thread dedicated to the news instead of my old one which is hardly looked at.

2-3 Updates and News
-fearpics1.png Completely revamped (added few portions corrected color errors and allignment errors in several places, also removed lava tiles which weren't going to be used and were taking up my 256 color limit.)
-Yet more levels touched up
-3 Door images ripped from fearpics1 and made into doors that were put on every house and in a join npc.
-Clothing graphic was broken down to pants and shirt
-Shoes are being drawn up now
-Clouds created and layered over very tall mountains.
-Body image changed to match exactly each sprite with clothing images (This will make gani work alot easier now I could even use attach sprite considering they will have the same x/y)
-Base gani Idea changed
Now the following options are available
Head Hair
Clothing Hat
Clothing Shirt
Clothing Pants
Clothing Shoes
Body
Main weapon
???Does anyone have an idea for any more? Heads are all the same and drawn on the body image.???
- New start levels implemented waiting on a new serveroption to finish them

NEXT on to do list
- Finish up body graphix and gani's so that I can get to work finishing up overworld and get some NPC characters in there
- Create a female counter part of the bodies , and also make more clothes , hair, and I guess ill just use some of the hats from g2k1 until I can get some ideas for them as there wont be any on the server yet i still need to go ahead and put them in the animations so i dont have to go change them all again lolz

I'd advise you not to use the attach feature in ganis. I thought it would be a simpler way to make my ganis as well, but it really screws with layering and such.

Thanks for the advice for attach I'll use the old fashioned way

Anyone have ideas of other things to include in the body gani's?

*Besides the ones ive already mentioned* Im attaching one char gani for your *assistant* npc that you can get when you reach a certain point. ( I have not yet decided what to call them or which way to implement them heheh. Either showani or in gani as an attribute with a script.

Tileset looks to familier with Faheria, If your using some of the tiles can you make sure that it's good on how you use them?. I don't think any of the faheria staff (x-) want to see there tileset on a not so good server.
But that's not what we are going to see is it TB3?

TB3 worked on Faheria I know, I also know he has permission to use the tiles (earlier inquiry) Don't know if he made them or not.

Uhm, what? Dude, TB3 is one of the best scripters in this game. It's not like he's letting me down if he uses my (old) tree, I don't care if he has it, it's not like I want it or anything.

TB3 hasnt scripted for a long time, i wouldnt be so confidant with his knowledge, although, it isnt what you know, its how you can use the references available.

It hasn't been that long and not that much has changed other than that of my long work schedule which I am working around @ this time and a few new commands that will make things not harder but easier. IM fixing to go to work now and get about 6 hours (Which isn't much and its my day off but wth its overtime).
As for this tileset Ive made some of it Deek made some of it justin made some of it, shadrock made some of it and a few others *forgive me im forgetfull* and I've allready went through a flame war over that (I'm not saying any of you are starting one im just saying ive been there done that )
My scripting may be a little dusty but dusty is all, it hasn't drained out of me or anything I've been doing just fine so far. You can see small examples of it if you log onto Fear now with the *lobby* levels that are there. The one thing ive got going for me is that im very versatile, I do scripting, graphix, ganis, and levels good in that order.
So dont worry im not going to let anyone down with a bad server, either its a good server or no server
Here is another small screenie i took it while i was adding gates.
The gates will be open during the day and close at night so you will have to find other wayz around if you dont want to wait 30 realtime minutes for daylight .
