Animation of a bmp.

Hello, I currently use Animagic gif. I save the images as .bmps and make an animation, however the animation works, but it will not allow me to save it. I am wondering why this is?? Is there any better free programs than this, if you please tell me.

As far as I know bmp doesn't support animation.

I'd go ahead and save it in a different format (preferably GIF or MNG if you're animating). I wouldn't advise saving any of your images as a BMP, as it can drastically reduce your colors and make a huge mess of your image.

Actually, not really. Only if saving in 256 colors mode or below. bmp is completely lossless, but it also doesn't compress ****. For example, a 128*128 bmp image will always have the same file size, no matter what you drew. I suggest png for non-animated and gif for animated images.

BMP saves data for every pixel(AKA bitmap), hence why its file size is always so large.
