Ok Thank you for your time to open this threat up.
But lets get down to business i have a big question
A lot of players when scripting when you first start out
where to begin to actually understand it the best way like
learn Gui scripting first
learn events to systems
idk

but for real someone make up a cool way that works like say I want to learn gs2
what should i learn and go in order like i heard some just jump into events ect
but a way to actually understand the commands ect the best way and to teach yourself thank you hope you can help me

Just start with something you find easy, and then build off of that. From what I know, you atleast have a basic understanding of how stuff works, so...just practice

With me, I started with basic events for players, and then went on to learn Guis, and finally I made a GUI-based eventBot [just building off of what I already knew].

EDIT: The Graal wiki and the forums are great resources.

I never was good at gs1...I sucked at gs1, to be honest. I'm good at gs2 tho. :P
I learned how to script in gs2 by looking at other scripts, actually...
If I didnt know how to do a certain function, I had tons of weapons saved from a server I worked on, and just refereneced it for certain functions...

But, now I can do it from scratch, and I dont need to reference weapons any more. :P
Unless its something I have no clue how to do, in that case, i ask for help. ^-^

And guis were actually one of the first things I learned how to do...
It was when I first started on playerowrlds, I was amazed by them. xD I've always loved gui controls...an old friend from graal legacy taught me how to do them.
<3 u m@x, wherever you are.

I find that the best way to learn GS2 is to script something that you want. For instance, my first GS2 script was an MP3 playlist. I had to learn about GUIs, file storage (creating/editing/deleting files), actions, and some mathematics (for the progression bar).

So, figure out something that want to script. Don't make it incredibly hard (read: no systems). Then, find somebody who knows quite a bit, and have them help you. The Testbed Server might be a good place for you go about learning GS2.

I learned to script from making a radio system that used a class that each radio station joined to in order to be able to broadcast, a weapon NPC for displaying GUI, plus using serverr. flags for data storage.
