Zormite Island Designing Contest
I'll say this up front, you'll need graph paper, a scanner, and very basic knowledge of graphing. Or can make your own 'graph paper' on the computer.
Zormite Island Design Contest:
I would like to do a complete overhaul of the island, making it more interesting and diverse, and I open to suggestions. Zormite island fits on a map 32x32 sections wide. The x axis is labeled AA through BF, and the y axis is labeled 1-32. Each square is labelled by its coordinates on the axis. For example aa-01 or ak-15. You can figure out what section you're in by pressing f5 on the overworld map.
Your submission must be on a peice of graph paper with a block of 32x32 squares set aside with the island drawn inside of it.
Requirements:
1. The coastline must be outlined clearly (well DUH)
2. Mountainous (gray rock) areas must be outlined clearly.
3. Snowy areas must be outline clearly.
Features:
1. I would LIKE two mountainy/snowy areas that will 'belong' to two ministries.
2. A larger easier to access bay.
3. All the towns being in their relative locations, with extra room for player houses.
4. The SE island to remain in its general location, possibly at a smaller size.
5. Open oceans for naval combat.
6. A 'river' (sea level sections) through the island with the castle at the beginning of the river.
Finer detail:
I will handle the finer details when I actually create the island. These include my best attempts to make the terrain changes less of a pain, trees, rocks, paths, NPC buildings, and 'house spots' (areas designed for a house to fit in and look nice.)
Note: If two people come up with good map ideas, I may ask them to work together to combine their map ideas into something even better. Please be willing to work with other people and comprimise. |
