Map (M key) just keep areas revealed after reconnect.

As the title says, I can reveal a good portion of a map by walking around on it. But when I reconnect, everything goes back to black for some reason.

Is there something I did wrong? or is this a bug?

Pretty sure it's a bug, your best bet is to make a custom map system.

Yeah I'm fairly sure this is a bug. I've heard this from a good many people and have personally experienced it multiple times. Was never able to determine any solution other than your suggestion. Besides, custom is good anyway.

I believe the reason for this is that if you reconnect on a map the saved map part images within your Graal folder is immediately having to be reloaded by the client before the latest parts have saved, this may also possibly result in the previous map parts over-writing the newer ones, it doesn't make exact sense but the solution for me is just to go inside or exit the map before reconnecting as opposed to reconnecting while on the map itself.

This has happened to me before, and the map randomly gets some black parts or screwed ones but, isn't there an automapping option in F3? I know this usualy doesn't work but meh.

Crap, I just noticed that the thread title was totally different than what I intended it to be. It shouldve read either "Map (M key) just reset after reconnect." or "Map (M key) won't keep areas revealed after reconnect."

nice tips, i'll try to remember this next time im on a gmap i haven't got none-black on!

pretty sure thats what you do when you when you get the map parts..
