Since the new winter frost shields, sun shield is even worse to have as a 'shield to use'. And ice shield > sun shield.

Stat wise yes, only true reasons would include nostalgia, greed, collector (pretty much greed but justified slightly). I only keep my sun because it's rare and i got it pretty cheap, and it looks nice with yellow bunny.
