I don't know if something was updated recently or not, but now I suddenly can't run RC at all outside the game client. I have tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling everything, and I am still getting the same error. This is for both the XP / Vista version and the new one for Windows 8.
I've already tried running it in compatibility mode and have tried fiddling around with other options as well.
