Community names make it a lot easier to change names.
Changing an account name would not work, because on servers like GK and Zodiac, which store information in mudlibs, it would be like a new player. For other servers, similar things may happen.
However, if a community name was changed (and scripts for mudlibs, etc, should be using account in case of this), there would be little effect on scripts, unless the scripts were poorly written or outdated.
