Swimming should be fun, but it's not really intended to be a huge thing. Just a way to transport yourself between like the 10 inches between islands.
I promise the 3D landscape will be awesome, I've been running around on it in level editor and it's pretty cool. It's just like running on a regular level, but with some depth now. That's all.
